Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Potato
Despite NBC’s attempt to make #Valloween a thing, this is sadly true.
I’m guessing the show bottoms out here. Maybe it rises a little, maybe it doesn’t.
Once again, it’s a bubble show leaning towards cancellation. Community fans know nothing else. :(

On the bright side, Parks has at least an year left in it. Happy for its fans.

  • Honey Badger

why did ABC premier Zero Hour in this time slot?
    it was bound to fail.
Are ABC executives taking their cues from NBC executives on how to ruin a network?

    8:00PM
CBS The Big Bang Theory 5.4
    FOX American Idol 3.6
    ABC Zero Hour -P 1.3
    NBC Community 1.1
    CW The Vampire Diaries 1.0

    @Vanessa
BEST DRAMA OF THE WEEK! Even on valentine’s day. That shows how strong POI is now. And third season is best for hit dramas(usually) So expect to grow even more when all other shows are droping season to season.

  • Kavyn

@MattR It’s not that different. The premiere had a lot put in because they were introducing storylines. Episode 2 was written by Megan Ganz, who has written some of the best Community episodes in past seasons. You can’t compare two episodes to an entire 3 seasons of a show, at least wait until mid-season (6 episodes in) to decide if the show’s truly changed or not.

  • Sherry

Yay! POI – you’re my Valentine.

  • matt

ABC should just give up on the thurs. 8pm slot. shark tank ratings = zero hour ratings from last week/this week

  • Sel

Wow, I cannot understand the American love over these “over the top” sorts of drama and shows that are actually good and earthbound come and go without no one cares. Don’t get me wrong, I never wish shows to fail but it’s a little bit too much…

  • Greg Chenoweth

TWO AND A HALF MEN did better in the overnights than American Idol did. Most impressive.

  • Wright

Not bad for VD considering it was Valentine’s Day. Damn I was hoping Zero Hour would premiere better. I think I’ll just blame that on Valentine’s Day too and see how it does next week. At least Elementary was stable.

  • Rebecca

Of course everything was down across the board..it was Valentine’s Day! People were either our for dinner, or getting it on ;)

  • PJM

Wow, big drop for Community. But then, you check out some of their boards, you would have thought Community shot their dog.

  • TCD & HOD > BATB

Beauty and The Flop tanked to a 0.5 LMAO, I knew it! And it will reach .4s soon. It deserves to be cancelled. TCD and HOD can get these numbers without TVD’s help. Batb sucks!

  • joel

Scandal is so stupid it’s hard not to watch. for instance when Olivia is alone with the president and has sex. totally would never happen. the president is never alone outside the white house ever.
Let alone everyone in the show should be in jail for committing every crime in the book. Also the best was the president getting shot in the head and he is fine a few episodes later. I guess if leave you’re logic at the door it’s a great show.

  • Max

It is also nice to see less and less REVENGE apologists and excuse makers on here to defend the non-hit and seeing more and more SCANDAL fans come around.

    *Vindication smells so sweet.

  • HalCapone

Adios Community. Zero Hour was a zero starter in ABC’s death slot but once again kudos to ABC for putting in the effort to program original shows that have high production values (not unlike Missing and Last Resort). Counter programming for Big Bang Theory and Two and A Half Men doesn’t work so note to ABC: put similar mindless sitcom crap up against mindless sitcom crap.

  • Zed

The power of Shonda Rhimes… The woman has a gift. :p

  • Seth

    Flop Hour

  • tommy

    Scandal beat Greys anatomy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BH

    OUCH at AI.
    Great for POI

and TVD, those ratings are still very good for you!

  • Leondre

Scandal is gonna beat Idol soon.
