Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Community will get canceled if it doesn’t rise in the ratings, Supernatural and Arrow beat TVD this week Supernatural in Viewers and Arrow in both demo and viewers, BATB will get canceled if it falls a little more, TBBT ratings still super i have no doubt that it will rise next week, American Idol down to mid 3s and 2.5 men beating it is the best Valentine gift ever, Person of Interest beats Greys again which is awesome, but the really big news this week and im not even a fan of the show but Scandal maybe ABCs only hit left as the ratings are amazing for a 10pm show and never have i seen a 10pm show beat its leadin in a while.

  • Holly

    @Sel,

Wow, I cannot understand the American love over these “over the top” sorts of drama

Have you ever seen a telenovela?

  • Chuck_T

Poor NBC–it’s highest rated show had a 2.0 and the most viewers they got for the night is a smudge over four million.

  • Bee

as much as ABC’s scheduling frustrates sometimes, their handling of scandal has been brilliant. they knew they had a good show and that some really big stuff was coming up, and they took advantage of it in the right way and at the right time. and now they’re enjoying the benefits. awesome.

in the finals, it’s very possible that grey’ and scandal will tie or that grey’s will beat scandal by 0.1. but the possibility of scandal beating grey’s even existing is just wild. and to think that it began the season at a 2.1 out of greys’ 4.4.

also, scandal survived the VALENTINE’S DAY MASSACRE. yikes. so many shows down in big digits across the board. hope next week is better.

  • TomZ

NBC isn’t smart. For 3 years they put community at 8 and it never hit a 2.0 (maybe in the first season). So why did they thought that this year would be different? I would put it on tuesday or on wednesday.

Where would you put community, if you would be NBC?

  • hahaha

Flop Idol have the same rating as The voice

  • Vance

The Vampire Diaries has been dragging along with an annoying triangle and a meandering pace, so I’m not surprised that it has hit a series low even though last night’s episode was the best episode in months.

  • Ram510

Wow if Scandal stays above GA and if OUAT doesn’t beat a 2.8, Scandal will be ABC’s highest rated drama for the week, that’s exciting.

  • Once & Again

What the hell is up with Glee, those ratings are a catastrophe. With that lead-in one would expect it to at least have 2.6. This is just sad, and OMG Grey’s Anatomy why? Last night’s episode was excellent hope it goes up especially next week.

  • PixieLavender

@AcE – Just because this is the FIRST time that Arrow has beaten Vampire Diaries – all of a sudden number 1 of the network…don’t think so!

Awhh Man, I thought the episode was brilliant! I think 1.0 is a new series low! :(

  • Lauren

RIP Beauty and the Beast! Don’t worry, The Secret Circle is waiting for you.

  • s0303

yes, arrow beat tvd…but tvd has a much tougher timeslot…goodbye batb :(

    wow…scandal beat greys…

  • TVDude

Aren’t ratings usually down on V-Day? I wouldn’t read too much into the low ratings.

I’m really surprised The Office landed a 2.0 for the whole hour. I’m sure it was pretty top heavy, but that’s not bad.

Community took a hit, but it had a lot against it. As always, it was a competitive night, it was valentines day, the episode was a Halloween episode, last week’s premiere disappointed fans. I think we will have a better idea next week when it’s not a holiday where people will be out on dates and the episode’s not out of season.

  • eridapo

Greys was hit by VDay more so than Scandal. Couples go out to dinner between 7 to 930PM, so shows airing at those times would be affected.

  • Charmed

This makes The Carrie Diaries potential renewal all the more likely.

  • Carl

So…um…Supernatural beat TVD this week? Am I reading that right? I’m not stating it as a fact, I’m asking, because I can’t remember their exact number yesterday.

I guess TVD will probably adjust up later today, but I’m still surprised. I know this is because of Valentine’s Day, but TVD seems to have some ratings issues lately.

  • danny94

Haha Max You are one sad individual, Remember Scandal is just a t.v show you may love it but it will never love you!!!

  • a p garcia

0H did as expected. A big surprise for me was AI getting a 3.6. POI Rocks

  • @ramirescl

The day that NBC died. So bye, bye…
