First the sitcom Up All Night was getting a makeover as a multi-camera comedy rather than a single camera comedy. Then last week, star Christina Applegate left the show. Then, after that, NBC trimmed what was originally planned as 5 multi-camera episodes of Up All Night for this season down to a single episode.

Now, in a development that likely won't surprise anyone, Deadline's Nellie Andreeva reports that she hears even that one episode has been scrapped.

So, what say you: over/under .5 new episodes of Up All Night that hit the airwaves?

Call me a cynic, I'm taking the under.

  • Rebecca

Wow, so far the vote is overwhelming in favor of “under” – that’s how I voted, too. Last I heard (before the Deadline article you quoted), that one multi-cam episode would maybe serve as a pilot for the fall…but if that doesn’t get made, then that’s it for UAN. I watched each episode and enjoyed the show but I don’t mind if it’s gone. Haven’t missed it.

  • Dan

There’s no point for a new pilot if its going to be a continuation. It may as well be a new show altogether. Never thought I’d say this but Whitney has a much better shot to return for a third season than Up All Night.

I can not believe that NBC wants to cancel up all night, I would not bother to replace Lisa Kudrow and Christina Applegate that ratings are not the best but for a network like NBC that is less than 8 million viewers think up cancel all night would be a great mistake. fingers crossed to see what happens over the next few months

  • The 47th

I just don’t think that Up All Night is such a strong brand to be worth of investing money promoting a total revamp.

  • tv#1

I think it would be best for NBC and everyone involved to scrap the project and move on. Even if they were creatively successful in rebooting the show I don’t think the reboot would help draw more viewers in. I think most people are over this show.

  • John A

The show is similar to Touch. No fanbase at all.

  • DJ

I don’t see the point of creating the multi-cam episode. The show has zero momentum as it is, so they might as well start from scratch.

The own the rights to the characters and scripts, so… recast, rename, and relaunch in the Fall… and cross their fingers that the new version of the show does better.

this show never should have been renewed for a second season in the first place…nbc should just cut and run…

  • Nick

This show just won’t die. Just cancel it already!!!

  • Fake Me Out

    @Nick

    This show just won’t die.

By jove! I think you’ve hit upon THE makeover idea for UAN … ZOMBIES! A husband and wife try to navigate marriage, careers, a new born and The Zombie Apocalypse, new this fall on NBC.

  • Michael

    Over…I’ll give it 1 or 2. That’s it.

But yes, the show is cancelled….or will be Good riddence! :)

  • Chikamatsu’s 10 Puppets

I hope they kill it. I LOVED the show for what it was, but I was opposed to the changes from the start and now without Applegate… Take the show off life support. The last episode to air already feels like a perfect series finale.

  • DW

it went from 5 to 1. never a good sign. they should just scrap it. it had a run. time to move on.

  • Shepherd

I’ve never seen the show and I have no idea what kinds of numbers it was getting, but talk about a no brain-er!
When the producers think the show is in so much trouble that it needs a drastic re-tooling BEFORE the lead actress quits, what else but cancellation could possibly happen? Oh look, only 85.89% said under. Perhaps the fact that 14% of American adults are illiterate might explain why so many people ‘accidentally’ voted over. Maybe some people just choose to vote for what they wish will happen.
NBC may actually air another episode. I suppose anything is possible. Revenge might get a 2.0 in the demo again; Once Upon a Time could climb back into the 3’s; heck, Touch might even get another season.

  • Alan

    Just cancel it.

  • The Hafk

    Over.

    NBC, NEVER CANCEL THIS SHOW.

I never even cared for the show in the first place, but I want them to constantly retool it every six episodes. I want an Up All Night crime procedural series. An Up All Night sci-fi series. An Up All Night talent competition.

You’ll never know what kind of show it will be next!

  • David Howell

Under. NBC don’t need the hassle of this. They’ve got to try and nurse Whitney into syndication (which is probably a thought more amusing than the show is to quite a few people on here).

Even at a 1.1 I think Community gets a final season for syndication, too. I mean, what do you renew over it after Parks?

  • Cyrax86

It is over. The show was brutally destroyed, NBC is the worst.

  • Oliver

    @The Hafk

Agreed. They should double down and turn Up All Night into an anthology series with a revolving premise, format and cast.

  • omabin

I don’t believe it will still air as it stands. Under
