Will 'Once Upon a Time' Rebound This Week? (Poll)

Once Upon a Time had a rough day last Sunday. With competition from The Grammy Awards and the return of The Walking Dead, it plummeted to a series low 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Can Once recover this week? Make a prediction below for tonight's episode, and tell us your thoughts in the comments!

  • Mike

    Once Upon A Time 2.7
    Revenge 2.0

  • Shepherd

    @The End

“Given some of the expectations, I expect a meltdown on Sundays network ratings post on Monday, could be interesting. This is what I’m going with anyway.”

I like your predictions too btw. I decided to be a little generous to both shows this morning; it’s such a beautiful spring-like day, ya know.

  • omabin

I don’t think both will rebound 100%. And they sure could use some more weeks of uninterrupted airings to do so. In any case, I predict some recoveries for both:

    Once: 2.7/2.8 (+23%)
    Revenge: 1.8/1.9 (+29%)

People asking Revenge to go higher than 2.0 are asking it to increase 50% on its previous result, sounds a bit too much for me.

  • frodo

I do not think an increase of 50% is asking for too much after all it did fall from the 2.4 to the 1.7 – 1.4 range in a matter of two episodes.

  • The End

I just think if any recovery for Once is to occur, it won’t be a huge leap in the space of a single episode, it’l be a slow but gradual increase in Nielsen viewers. With Revenge, I think this show is dying personally and don’t expect to see any reasonable improvement either way.

With Once I can see why people have gone for 2.5-2.7 on the poll, it’s a possibility, certainly it won’t get above that for the latest episode.

  • Devon

Once upon a time will have a 2.7
    Revenge 2.3
But I’m hoping for higher for both.I’m not afaraid that Revenge is up against The Walking Dead, since it has been up against TWD also during the first hakf of TwD Season 3 and managed to get 2.5-2.8!

Revenge will air one of it’s biggest episodes in the season so far and that should spark some buzz for the next week, when I hope It will rebounce completely.

ABC shouldn’t have aired it against three major events though. I don’t know what they wanted to accomplish?!

  • Shepherd

You mean four episodes, or at the very least three (depending on how you want to spin it, or count I guess).

    2.4, 2.0, 1.7, 1.4

It seems like the only steady thing about the show lately are the declines.

  • ZmaX

I really want them to rebound and both show’s episodes are key episodes in their storylines, I would be fine with…

    Once: 2.7
    Revenge: 2.0

but would love a much better return…

    Once: 3.2
    Revenge: 2.4

the unfortunate thing is that even if the shows do rebound, they are on another 2 week break after this, which could hurt any rising momentum :/

  • danny94

I’m hoping once can get back to low three’s and revenge to mid two’s but i dont think that will happen this week so i am predicting a

    2.7 for once
    1.9 for revenge

  • bAUERR

    Once: 2.8
    Revenge: 2.2

Revenge will rebound just not in one week.

  • omabin

If you compare this year’s decline in Revenge from DH decline last year in the awards season, it is almost the same (40% for DW, 42% for Revenge). DW then got back 22% in the next episode and another 14% afterwards, amounting to an overall increase of 39% and a level that was still 20% below its before-awards episodes. So I don’t think it is reasonable to ask that much for Revenge. I think we can expect something a bit better than the 22% increase because it is such a buzzy episode, but I say that asking for it to go higher than 50% is too much, especially in the course of one episode. On the other hand, as little crossed audience as there is, the 2.4 before awards was sans TWD, which might take a tenth or so from it. I think next year the show could come back to its fall levels but I doubt it will get there before the finale IMO. ABC is nuts for scheduling it this way.

Hmmm this is very hard to tell it really all depends on Abc’s marketing and I have no clue if it was good or not. My guess is once upon a time goes to a 2.6-2.8 and revenge hits a 1.9-2.1. Honestly they both hit hard lows week after week so it’s hard for me to say how much either will jump up. This is revenges big episode so hopefully a lot of people will watch for that. I would be shocked if revenge pulled over a 2.2. Also I’m sure amazing race will be down from last premiere. It’ll probably be close to survivors premiere so around a 2.4-2.6

  • tobes

I think OUAT will score between a 2.5-2.8 while Revenge will score between a 1.9-2.4

  • Samunto

I think a 2.4/2.5 is what it’ll be. Those who tipped anything above a 2.7 or even 3.0 will have to wait till next fall.

Anyone know how it faired last year a week after the Grammys?

  • Samunto

Hadn’t read your post. Much thanks for the ratings rundown from last year.
    That said:
    OUAT 2.4
I won’t even start on Revenge but am afraid that show may have already seen it’s last 2.0 for the season…

  • Bee

people really think revenge will rebound to 2.0+?! oh man, i hope you guys are right.

i fear revenge will only go to like 1.6 or something and OUAT to 2.4.
but realistically, i’ll say 1.8-2.0 for revenge and 2.4-2.7 for OUAT.
but i hope they do even better!

  • msupdate

I’d say 2.5 for OUAT. Maybe a 1.8 for Revenge.

  • Alan B.

Hope Revenge bounces back, it has improved over past few episodes. Why ABC put new episode up against Grammy awards beggers believe.Like Joseph I live in UK ,if there is a big live event in UK on BBC then ITV would normally put a repeat up against it or show an old movie

  • Dillan

    Once: 2.8
    Revenge: 2.3

It’s quite a big episode for Revenge so I’m expecting ratings to be somewhere in the 2’s. And TWD never really affected it during its first half of the season, so I’m not expecting it to affect Revenge tonight.

  • cimmer

2.4-2.5 for QUAT. A small rebound but a rebound, I don’t think anything’s going to bounce back big time, it’s a long weekend, people might be out and about and TWD is back on.
