via press note:

Although airing a mix of first-run and repeat programming against all-original competition on CBS (with the Amazing Race opener) and Fox, ABC was competitive for the Sunday night lead in Adults 18-49. It was essentially a 3-way tie for #1 on the night, with each net drawing the same share and just a tenth of a rating point separating the three.

Please Note: On the holiday weekend Sunday, overall Adult 18-49 TV usage levels were down by -6% from the prior week (38.3 vs. 40.6).

During the 7 o’clock hour, ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos ranked #1 in Adults 18-49.

At 8pm opposite the season premiere of CBS’ Amazing Race, ABC’s Once Upon A Time was up week to week in Total Viewers (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%). From 8-9pm, Once Upon A Time ran neck-and-neck with Amazing Race for the Adult 18-49 lead (pacing within 1-tenth of a rating point and tied in audience share) and won the hour with key Women (W18-34/W18-49).

During 9pm hour, ABC’s Revenge built week to week in Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 18-49 (+29%) to its best numbers since January 13, 2013. ABC sophomore Revenge beat out CBS’ The Good Wife in the hour by 29% in Adults 18-49, outdelivering the CBS drama on every original matchup this season.

During the 10 o’clock hour, a repeat of the Zero Hour pilot episode from Thursday picked up an additional 3.1 million viewers, bringing its 2-telecast Live + Same Day total to 9.4 million viewers sampling the new ABC drama.

ABC Bingo! 18-49 down week-to-week mainly because of influx of Grammy viewers to network. Sorry this just doesn’t play.

And my own personal rule of thumb holds true, if ABC releases a PR about how well a show did then you know they’re not happy. lol Can’t prove it except thru anecdotal evidence over the last three seasons. lol

Why can’t everyone just ignore Max? Don’t call on him dumbasses. Ignore him and he’ll go away.

  • Eddie

Revenge is GREAT!! I love Madeline Stowe, she knows how to play the vilainess bitch to a T!!!! The rest of the cast is also very good. Revenge absolutely deserves some Emmy nominations the next time around. A very well written show, full of suspense, good choice ABC!!!!

Revenge is my favorite show on TV. I hope it lasts as long as Grey’s Anatomy, another favorite. Wish it didn’t conflict with Downton Abby so I don’t have to watch it on “prime time on review…” two days later. When Revenge was on last year I watched it live. I think the Neilsen ratings don’t account for all the viewing online or on reruns because of the conflict with Downton and all the awards shows. Downton Abby is so popular. why doesn’t ABC show Revenge again at eleven o’ clock Sunday night?
