Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Sweethearts REVENGE is going to be renewed ! HATERS U BETTER DEAL WITH IT !

  • Ryan

    I’m starting to get scared to keep watching OUAT, it’ll never ever get a proper finale if the ratings get much lower, I want the ratings to either stay up or plunge mid-season so they know it’ll get cancelled and have time to wrap everything up, if it gets to middling territory they might get surprised with a cancellation and won’t get a chance to do a proper finale. :(

  • Baaa!

    I see the signs. DST is coming.

  • Mon

    Looks like The Job’s been pulled.

    http://www.cbs.com/schedule

    Undercover Boss is now listed instead of The Job (which was still in there last Friday). It’s not indicated, however, if it will be a new episode of UB this Friday.

  • Min

    It’s time to IP ban Max and his numerous aliases.

  • Holly

    @Ryan,

    I’m starting to get scared to keep watching OUAT, it’ll never ever get a proper finale if the ratings get much lower,

    That shouldn’t be a concern this season. But with the ratings issues it has been having, if next year’s finale couldn’t work as a series finale then it’s the writers’ fault.

  • David Howell

    Least surprising cancellation of the season for The Job.

    Ban Max? I’m not sure at all.

    To the comment about ABC renewing Castle after a weak start because it was a procedural – that’s the least of it, the renewal of “certain bearchow” Body of Proof last season can’t have been down to anything else!

  • AverageJoe

    I was once a huge fan of Revenge, but the show’s quality has gone downhill. Even the Revenge fans have to admit this. It’s not what it used to be. The second season was terrible and veered off topic from what the first 12 or so episodes did in the first season.

    I loved season one (or at least the first 12 episodes), but now it’s just weak drama. Also I don’t think yesterday’s rating was THAT bad. Almost a 2.0, but I still don’t think it’ll finish of strong. Though I do think it’ll get renewed.

    The Amazing Race didn’t do too bad either, considering the big drop Survivor had during its opening. Hopefully Survivor can pull it back to a 2.8+. Good show for 10+ years!

  • Holly

    @David Howell,

    To the comment about ABC renewing Castle after a weak start because it was a procedural – that’s the least of it, the renewal of “certain bearchow” Body of Proof last season can’t have been down to anything else!

    I’m sure that was part of it.

  • gg

    LOL’ing at MAX’s MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

  • Nick

    What happened to… everything?? Are numbers usually this low on Sundays during February?

  • Martha

    Yay!
    CBS has switched TM/TGW time slot .. i.e. CBS will air TM @9pm then TGW @10pm on coming Sun 2/24.

    CBS has finally wised up but I’m afraid too much damage has already been done to The Mentalist :(.

    @Once & Again

    Thanks for the Revenge spoiler. I know it’s my fault that I even checked out this page, but you didn’t have to specify who died – I thought this site was supposed to be about ratings, not episode discussions. I certainly learned my lesson here. =/

  • DW

    @ MARTHA. you forgot to look at the following week. back to normal. and tm would still pull in bad numbers @ 9

  • Steven

    Hope the good wife gets at least one more year to wrap it up

  • Pocoyo

    Lol OUAT. I guess a full hour of Jennifer Morrison overacting can´t do better in the ratings XD

  • Martha

    @DW, thanks. I was happy too soon. :(

  • pufek

    OUAT and Revenge will be fine. All shows had a lower ratings than usually. 2,4 high on sunday??? This is a rare situation. People come back because OUAT and Revenge are awesome shows. and I think some people exaggerate when they say these shows are dying. It will be fine. I believe in it. After big events it will take time when these shows come back to glory.

  • aciel

    i didnt expect revenge to fully recover in one week. but im pretty sure it will be back to low 2s for the rest of the season

  • Joseph

    I don’t know how revenge will do when it gets back because it has an OUAT repeat as its lead-in so it may not do as well- will be interesting to see though how OUAT affects revenge ratings if it does
