Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Let’s be real, I would be shocked if both Revenge and Scandal do not see a third season. I think this cat-fight is silly, as the two shows are not competing against one another.

  • Bookworm

    **I assumed Revenge was a 1.9.

  • BH

And with that ABC shows go on another hiatus!

  • John A

Nailed it for Revenge. 1.8 is pathetic. The episode was good but the death was obvious they should have killed Jack a boring charactor. TGW looking very weak.

  • Lewis

@glue true that Scandal was always 1.8 – 2.1 with a weak competition.

  • Max

Even the half-hours are bad for Revenge.

Going from 6.09 to 5.89 million viewers during such a “buzzy” episode? Ouch. :D

No renewal is going to happen.

    REVENGE is DONE.

  • Petar Ivanov

NBC SNL repeat even with TGW…….NO COMMENT.

  • Andreas

Max, it’s obvious you and Paris are the same person. Please stop embarrassing yourself.

I watch neither Scandal or Revenge(both are terrible, low brow shows) but i feel sorry for you and your life.

  • Survivor Fan

I thought that the TAR premiere was solid, despite tasks that were random as to who would finish first.

  • JR35

Where oh where are the OUAT viewers?

  • Pat

Wow. Amazing Race – highest broadcast show for the evening with a 2.4 . That’s pretty sad for Sunday.

  • RandyL

@Glue Scandal never hit a 1.8. It did have a bunch of 1.9′s but that seems like a distant memory.
Just like Revenge being in upper 2′s. The tides have turned.

  • Josh

Great, now there’s two of them that seem to have no life and jump straight onto the site as soon as the ratings appear to make themselves known.

That’s really poor for Good Wife, and shocked at Amazing Race, thought that would have been a 2.9 at least. Makes me wonder if it’ll go below a 2.0 this year. Has that happened ever?

  • Samunto

Just as i thought; No significant rises for OUAT or Revenge.

  • Bee

eh just what my pessimistic mind predicted :( barely a rebound for OUAT and a decent jump for revenge, but still not good enough.

hopefully the next episodes of each are at 2.5+ and 2.0+. but one is gonna be off for 2 weeks and the other for 3 weeks. DAMN IT. sundays is the worst place to schedule shows. the worst. grey’s and scandal have the best schedules. knock on wood.

  • Survivor Fan

A 1.8 would have been a disaster two years ago, but, assuming that Revenge holds a 1.8, it will be renewed.

  • Max

    @Andreas and everyone else…

Have the mods check IP’s if you like. The only post I made in these 2 pages is the second post on page 1. That’s it.

    Carry on…

  • eridapo

lol, so funny Max, Max and Max’s alter ego Paris all slamming Revenge…

You people are pathetic….. LOL… TVBTN is being overrun by Max’s clones..

  • Melissa

    @Glue

Um… Scandal was always at a 1.8… Always. Now it’s what revenge was. Don’t be a hypocrite max.

No, actually Scandal was always at a 2.0 before its surge.

  • r0ckmypants

Considering the premiere was so low, that 0.9 for the Zero Hour repeat isn’t bad. I doubt it will translate into higher ratings on Thursday, but still.

Last night’s Revenge was great. With the storyline finally getting back on track to focus on Emily in the next new episode, I hope the ratings will go back up.
