via press note:

Building on the night, ABC was Monday’s most-watched TV network and ranked #1 in Adults 18-49 (tied w/CBS). In Adults 18-49, the Net earned a Monday season high with series programming on the night to its best number since March 26, 2012.

Earning season bests for the 2nd week in a row, ABC’s The Bachelor defeated NBC’s The Biggest Loser 14 by its biggest margins yet in Total Viewers (+64%) and Adults 18-49 (+43%). Up in Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 18-49 (+11%), The Bachelor achieved new season highs with the franchise’s top non-finale numbers in nearly 2 years – since 3/7/11. Continuing to improve year to year, The Bachelor was up over the same night last year by 1.0 million viewers and by 20% in Adults 18-49.

ABC’s Castle won the 10 o’clock hour, beating CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 by 8% in Total Viewers and by 10% in Adults 18-49. It was Monday’s most-watched drama overall. Increasing 10% in Adults 18-49 and up for the 2nd week in a row, Castle equaled a season high. The ABC drama posted a new season high with Adults 18-34 for the 2nd week running to its best number in nearly 1 year - since 2/27/12.

I’m surprised how great Mondays have turned out to be for ABC, it was one of their worst days.

ABC won’t win Mondays when The Voice returns.

I think you’re going to see very strong re-watch numbers on the Castle episode. One of their best ever– the whole cast delivered, but Nathan Fillion went above and beyond what you normally see on network TV. Expect next week to be an even stronger blowout for ABC.

As strong as Castle is, it normally depends on the lead-in from DWTS. Notice that this week they won without it. That’s very good news for ABC and Castle fans. Castle is usually revised down by a tenth of a point, but that won’t be enough to prevent an overall win even in the demo. They finally seem to be climbing out of the slump they’ve been in since the rather gloomy Season 4 (though in their defense, even when the viewership slumped the ratings were still pretty solid).

How the tables have turned. When DWTS returns, it’ll be weaker than The Bachelor.

this was a great episode with fine performances from the entire cast! Always well written, and acted. Since it is a two parter, next week will probably be even better!

Hoping that every week the ratings get better. Best show on tv right now!!:)

With Sundays declining mostly in part to poor ABC counter-scheduling, this is good news for Monday Nights. Atleast this ABC PR is not full of itself.. Both Bachelor and Castle did increase and hit or tie season highs and did match CBS for the night. I’m quite surprised about Bachelor this season. Regarding Castle it always goes up and down but it is always nice to see Castle win its timeslot and hit 2.2.

Monday nights will get more Competetive when NBC returns with Voice and Revolution. Abc, CBS, NBC, and Fox will all perform solidly for the big 4. Mondays haven’t been big like it used to be a few years back. CW of course will be blah !

It’s time for HIMYM to go, and CBS renewed it for another season. I love ROE and 2BG, but the rest on CBS Monday line-up is crap.

Yey for Castle – utterly great show. Usually loads of charm, last night bags of drama. And NF was superb. Long may this quality continue.
