Rihanna still being the 2nd best of the year \o/

  • Alec

Good ratings for Beyonce on OWN and HBO…Simon needs to find a way to get her on The X Factor

@Alec. FOX isn’t going to give him the money for Beyonce. FOX won’t be letting Simon spend money on superstars anymore after Britney Spears/Mariah arnt bringing in the rstings

  • Jenny

OWN really seems to be turning a corner.

  • jamie

Good job, but a little expected for a Beyonce and Oprah special.

@TVMAN I think it depends on the superstar. Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and company bring in big ratings for NBC’s “The Voice” just fine.

  • terz

    great ratings

  • Mya

And this interview came out of nowhere and still pulled 1.3 million on a Sat. While Rihanna’s was on a Sunday and was promted for 2 months and it was about Chris Brown the guy who beat her.

  • Nick

@jamie. Adam Levine certainly brings in the ladies. NBC is probably doing all they can to keep him on the show. Meanwhile, Floptina has no fans and is completely disposable.

  • Mayans

    @ jamie,

NBC are not paying the same amounts as Simon/Fox did for Britney. NBC were smarter with their money and have gone for a coaching/judging panel who were diverse. Their best strategy was having Blake Shelton on, everybody else started copying them. Now Idol has a country artist as well.

XFactor just doesn’t work for American TV. Even in the UK their ratings have gone down to record lows, while The Voice has been a hit worldwide.

  • Andy

What makes these ratings so impressive is they are almost as high as the ratings for beyonce’s actual documentary on hbo which was the highest rated documentary in hbo history. What this proves is that when OWN and HBO air the same content (beyonce) on the same night, OWN’s ratings are within reach of an established successful network like HBO
