There's yet another carriage dispute brewing between a satellite television provider and a station group. If DirecTV ans Sinclair Broadcasting can't reach an agreement, some local affiliates in 47 markets will be unavailable to DirecTV subscribers after February 28.  Per Deadline, Sinclair's stations include 24 Fox affiliates, 19  MyTV channels,12 ABC stations, 16 CW, 11 CBS, 3 NBC, 1 Azteca and 1 Independent affiliate.

On the bright side, nobody will notice whether the CW stations are there or not.

If Direct TV subscribers can not watch a show due to problems with Sinclair Broadcasting; Is that taken into account when listing the ratings for a show.

Last night (Mon. Feb. 18), as I was viewing CBS TV shows, a banner ran at the bottom of my screen saying that many of it’s programs would not be available to Direct TV watchers after Feb. 28. I have cable, so it would not affect me, but, I am certain, a large of amount of people might not be able to view programs in the future if the dispute can not be settled.
That’s the sort of event that should be noted when listing the ratings for a program, similar to very bad weather taking out the power and preventing many people from watching shows in an region of the country.

These companies need to get there heads out of there rears and come up with a solution! Only people that are being effected are your customers! Coroporate greed is ridiculous!

Sinclair better get with the 21st century. With networks streaming their shows online, and with the availability of Internet-ready televisions we are just fine catching our network shows later on Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, and others. Broadcasting stations will someday be a thing of the past, and their threats are wearing thinner and thinner.
