Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Let us remember a show on the CW have come back from .3’s and .2’s before. After being put back in it’s proven performing time slot. That is what is happening here with 90210.

I know some people will try to say otherwise, but the proof is in Nikita’s numbers.

But of course just like it was the in thing to kick Nikita while it’s down, the same will go for 90210, and I’ll be accused of playing Fan Excuse Bingo.

But you can’t deny there is some logic to what I’m saying.

  • zth

@PurpleDrazi: They have to keep Beauty and the Beast for the friday dead spot and cancel TCD and 90210. These ratings are atrocious!

  • Jay

The pilot for The Carrie Diaries was so good, but every episode since has been pretty lacklustre. Not sure what happened.

  • jane

Heavily promoted Castle? In which universe?

  • Hmm

    @ Emma

Last night was the first part of Castle’s annual 2 part episode. It didn’t need a lead in for that, it was promoted and Castle always does well with the 2 parter.

  • JAA

    Great for Castle.

  • mat

bien sabroso le dieron su cojin a 90210

  • Charmed

TCD :( It was a very sweet episode last night, I hope it adjusts up.

  • rob60990

With The Carrie Diaries crashing & Beauty & the Beast underperforming, HOD fans have nothing to worry about.

  • Shepherd

I’m surprised TF was able to climb back above 2.6, and nearly regaining all of its lost viewers is impressive. Presidents Day seems like a stay home and watch TV holiday though. Perhaps we’ll see 2.7 in the final numbers. At any rate, I ha thought it could remain relatively steady for 2 weeks around 2.4, and I think that’s where it will fall to next week; 2.4-2.5.

Nice to see Bones down. even though its still fairly steady with a .1 drop.

Deception is very steady, but still gone without any rise in the ratings this week.

  • Grey

    Please. no adjustments. Please,please, please!

  • Ellen

People say Elementary is doing poorly, but H50 is doing worse with roughly the same lead-in.

Also, CBS is really struggling at 10pm…

    Sunday 1.5
    Monday 2.0
    Tuesday: 1.5-1.7
    Wednesday 2.2

  • ravi

Yeah following! Can’t wait to watch the episode tonite on dvr.

  • Skylar James

when was the last time ABC won a Monday?

  • zth

@Shepherd: The Following has 2.8/2.9 for the half hours. It can’t adjust to 2.7. And next week I can grantee you it will increase, after the cliffhanger last night.

  • Juan

Castle was fantastic this week, increadible episode, I expect a season high next week for it for sure. It was such a great episode.

  • Ateofi

I am affraid it’s not possible to move H50 to Tuesday, because of NCIS LA spin off. More likely, it will be moved to Friday and will get ratings below 2.0 demo. It’s a pitty, but it looks like H50 will get one more season for sindication and that’s it :(

  • Chris

Castle is getting a boost from heavy syndication on TNT, but not much of one. Still horrible ratings. Still losing to H50 most weeks, and the syndication boost won’t last long.

TNT is supposed to start showing H50 in syndication in 2014.

    And Revolution returns next month.

Enjoy it while it lasts, Castle-freaks.

  • Shana

90210 is dead put it out of their misery already.

  • Dave

Sure 90210 is totally getting a final season ;)

It’s going to be a blood bath this season for The CW. I’m just glad Nikita won’t be a part of it this Season. :D

    Yay for The Following! :D
