Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Five 0 still steady…:)

  • Kangarookeeper

@zth Whatever, it was so boring.

At this point you would think the CW would think ok no final goodbye season for 90210. Here is a few extra eps wrap it up this year.

  • Marc

Dissapointed by 90210 :( it was a good episode but oh well…hope next week with Lannie its gonna go up…
I have one thing to say to the show : FIRED THE PRODUCER since they change to Life Unexpected produced they went downhill producing shows isnt their good job!!

  • zth

@Kangarookeeper: Did you watch the full episode?

  • Charmed

TCD is getting renewed! BATB gets the same ratings with TVD behind it! Surely that counts for something. And why would The CW order midseason shows if they knew they were going to cancel them.

  • WoWza

It doesnt matter if bones in adjusted upwards, really. Its renewed and is doing more than fine.

As for The Following – this is a huge hit and much needed for FOX. its a huge sucess story and standing on it’s own two feet. Bing news for FOX. Greatnews for FOX. Also, with it gone it will get new viewers between seasons and this thing will premiere in the spring next year to 3.5’s. BIG news for FOX. This 2.8 means a lot.

Also, FOX has to be happy that it has three of four comedy’s for next yeaer. It’s always odd to havetwo new comedy shows begin. Now, if they begin with something it has time to grow or beceome cancelled and they can put some replacement there if need be. If the show works – with only one needed show to start it will likely be a strong show and start one of the hours with big publicity – the second comedy for the seasona s a back up will likely be strong as well and can air after Idol which is fine – it might do well and , if FOX were luck enough – have it replace Raising hope the following season (or following season. I think this is a five season show personally).

  • zth

    @Charmed: BATB doesn’t get 0.4’s.

  • CastleFan (the original)

So many trolls.. people seriously need to get a life!

  • Ateofi

Agree. The following rebounded nicely especially after weaker lead in from Bones. It appears Fox may finally have a hit it desperately needs.

Ok this might seem stupid of me to even bring this up, but from my understanding and basic math skills, it is obvious to me that in no way did ABC tie CBS in the Adults 18-49 ratings.

If Bachelor from 8-10 as a “2 Hour episode” has a 3.0 demo and Castle averaged 2.2 then that would average out to a 2.6 rating for the A18-49!?!!

As for CBS I totaled up the A18-49 as 14.7 divided by 5 timeslots/shows and it equals a 2.94 average which would be just shy of a 3.0 so it would be a 2.9 for the night…

I know that Shows adjust up and down based on #s such as 2.67 would be rounded out to a 2.7 but if they round out these shows on the table and then average them for the network as rounded figures then CBS clearly won the night.

  • Anon

Yay Castle! I hope it gets adjusted up even more.

And @Emma, while I am grateful for popular lead ins for Castle, I don’t think that was the case last night seeing as Castle had more total viewers than the Bachelor. So, no I won’t be admitting that Castle NEEDS a lead in. Wait till DWTS comes back. Now THAT’S a lead in.

  • David Howell

90210mg. It’s done. No farewell 13 for you!

The Following is the big story of the night though. That’s the fear of the Alcatraz curse pretty much gone. As long as it survives against The Voice, it’s not only safe but likely to hang around a fair while, especially as it’s inherently unable to be burned out at only 15 episodes a season.

No way Castle’s getting cancelled any time soon, ABC need a solid procedural too much. Or even a not-solid one if the BoP renewal is any guide…

Rules continues to be the solid utility player it always has been. Would another network want it if CBS don’t have room for it? It might be off-brand for NBC and Fox, but they (and especially NBC) need a sitcom that can break a 2.0 with no lead-in (they have, between them, one live-action sitcom that can do that), and Rules can do that, surely, even on another network?

  • zth

@chris23: Have you ever heard of weighted mean? LOL

  • Mark

This will be the final season of 90210 announcement in 3…2…1

  • ddddddddddd

LOL. 90210 is doing worse than The LA Complex.

They should cancel 90210, and revived The LA Complex. Perhaps have a couple characters cross over?

  • Nicole

    Super flop for CW!

  • NewEnglandMike

Yes, Hawaii Five O should probably be moved off Mondays. I actually think Sunday would work better than Friday, but even if it winds up on Friday, I seriously doubt CBS execs are thinking about ending this series anytime soon. Be shocked if it’s not on for 2, or more likely, 3 more seasons after this year.

  • rob60990

@chris23, you can’t do that. What kind of math teacher did you have?

You have to add up every single half hour

    ABC half hours: 2.7, 3.0, 3.1, 3.3, 2.3, 2.2

    CBS half hours: 3.4, 2.8, 3.4, 3.1, 2.1, 1.8

  • POI

CW please announce this as 90210’s final season and get the series out of your schedule also cancel TCD cuz its a really bad show with bad actor, atleast 90210 is kinda watchable but TCD is not at all and in its first season its pulling a 0.4 next year it will be pulling 0.2s like 90210 so both shows got to go.
