@USA-I posted earlier that many Republican governors balanced budgets, despite a President who has doubled down on borrowing from the Chinese and his Kensyian economics is turning the USA into a cesspool.

@Coffee steve Thats good news on coal, but I sure the EPA will stall, delay and regulate that from happening for years. By then there may not be any coal fire plants left. Look what their trying to do to fracking.

Difference between Internet rambling about your personal opinion, and personal information(college income etc) )anyone decides to share in here is only SOME could back it up.

The people that feel the need to challenge or doubt comments (after saying they don’t care) are usually the ones with something to hide behind.

    Good Morning, everyone

    —————–

Matthew was on a tear last night. Let’s make him work a little harder.

Matthew, I am not in the 2%, &, Cathy , I don’t make up stories. Perhaps, some do . I have no way of knowing.

    – –

SPENDING MORE & TAX INCREASES VS. TAX CUTS & BUDGET CUTS

    – –

Before Coolidge, was Democrat ,Woodrow Wilson & he was my least favorite President. . He ended his terms with $22 billion in government debt . Don’t forget Wilson instituted the first federal income tax since the Civil War, & he still had a deficit.
    – – –

( R ) Coolidge came to Washington as vice president and moved into the White House only in 1923 after the sudden death of President Warren Harding ($2 billion surplus when he died). Coolidge later won the office himself and served until 1929. The 30th president cut the top income-tax rate to 25% (lower than the 28% of the historic Reagan cut of 1986). Coolidge himself supplied the discipline to use budget tools, new and old. He reduced the national debt and balanced the budget. When he departed the White House , he left a federal budget smaller than the one he found. Remember the Roaring 20’s . This was the Harding & Coolidge era.

Coolidge carefully underscored the technical evidence, and there was plenty, that greater revenues might follow tax rate cuts.*** But he still insisted on twinning tax cuts with budget cuts.***

    – – –

1944 to 1948, Uncle Sam cut spending by a whopping 75% as World War II came to end. Spending as a share of GDP plunged to 9% in 1948 from 44% in 1944

While total output fell by 12% in 1946, private-sector GDP rose by nearly 30%. Or look at it this this way: Real U.S. output in 1947 was 17% higher than in 1941 despite the decline in government spending.

What else was different ? Taxes were cut a little, and government interference—including price and production controls and rationing—was reduced a lot.

The typical Keynesian response mostly centers around dismissing the immediate post-war boom as a one-off event complicated by many unique factors. But it happened again, as Henderson notes! After the Cold War ended, overall federal spending fell to 18% of GDP in 2000 from 22% in 1991. But again the economy boomed. Real U.S. GDP grew by 40% with an average annual growth rate of 3.8%.

On quickie and I am gone for the day: Some people are not in the top 2% not because they are not smart or got bad breaks but because they are happy what they do and do not need money to justify their happiness. Don’t forget them

Watching Sen. John McCain at his town hall with Cathy,Ratboy,Stan types was quite entertaining!!

Especially the look of “where’s the straight-jacket for these nuts” John McCain had for the cranky bitter white ppl.

I’m packing more crap today for my move, thank GOD there are people around willing to work hard, instead of collecting govt. aid and voting for Republicans who would, cut their benefits, throw them out after the Republicans gets busted having employed many workers themselves.

Send those old fat bitchy ba$tards over from Arizona to load boxes and assist me in packing……lol, nuts & hypocrites!

People deserve a chance, that’s what America is all about….opportunity! Give em a path to citizenship!

This is a conservative website , but, the findings were documented.

    Elections Bureaucrats Ran Amok

BUSTED: Team Obama Directly Implicated in Major NC Voter-Registration Fraud

In a blatantly partisan move, the staff of the North Carolina State Board of Elections (SBE) successfully subverted state law to facilitate online voter registration in North Carolina by the 2012 Barak Obama campaign. In doing so they coordinated with partisans behind closed doors, lied about the NC Attorney General’s Office concurring with the SBE…

Perhaps most disturbing, the SBE staff apparently tried to keep this all from the view of the public and even county elections boards until mere weeks before the election, which raises the disturbing question of whether those involved were aiding a last-minute registration surge planned by the Obama campaign

The end result was to add thousands of people to the North Carolina voter rolls illegally.

I’m guessing that was in response to these comments made last night:

Jeff wrote: “Matthew ‘s on fire!!     Cathy, ouch that’s gonna leave a mark!”

Cathy wrote: “…I went from being poor to being in the top 2%…”

If I include my Monopoly Money I as well make 6 figures a year

I’m just the opposite though, I take most comments on the persoanl comments about jobs and things at face value, cause in many instances the things commented on are usually backed up by comments that realate to a persons personal past that shows they indeed have knowledge about the subject they claim to have been a part of in their lives.

    Well…. They were Warned

There is growing concern, for example, that the law’s market reforms will cause a huge “rate shock,” particularly for those young and healthy.

    .

“We are very concerned,” California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones told federal health officials at a December meeting, “if there is so much rate shock for young people that they’re bound not to purchase (health insurance) at all.”

A February survey of major health insurance companies in five cities across the country found that they expect premiums for this group to climb an average 169%.

Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini said late last year that he expects premiums to double for some small businesses and some individuals as a result of the law.

“Even with the tax penalty … some healthy people would avoid purchasing coverage until they are sick,” Howard Shapiro, director of public policy at the Alliance of Community Health Plans, told regulators .

The problem is that if the young and healthy drop coverage, the result be what the industry calls a “death spiral.” Premiums will climb as the pool of insured gets sicker, causing still more to cancel their policies.

This is just what happened in states that imposed strict community rating and guaranteed issue reforms in the past. In fact, of the eight states that did so, most ended up either dropping the reforms or loosening the rules after they saw enrollment decline and premiums climb

Universal Studios Cutting Health Insurance For Part Timers

Universal Orlando plans to stop offering medical insurance to part-time employees beginning next year, a move the resort says has been forced by the federal government’s health-care overhaul.

    @d.d.

The whole thing with Obamacare is it was not thought out and no projections made to the confusion and the real effect it would have on the economy. They just wanted so bad to win and degrade the other party they did not take into account what it could do. They still don’t know or care, they won so I guess that’s enough for them. This is a nightmare that is just starting.

    @Ratboy
I dis-agree about Bills new book, it will be targeted to an audience that will buy it, I think this will be his biggest seller and with the sure to come outrage on it, he sure won’t have a problem getting free ad time
