   One of my duties includes hospital visits to members of the Church that are in the hospital. In the past 10 days no one has been in the hospital

   I told them last night “Some of you need to get sick so I can visit”

   did anybody read the story about the oregon car crash that killed the mother, but her 4 year old and 2 year old daughters survied. the 4 year old pulled the 2 year old out of the car.and they spent the night under a tree under a blanket in temps. that were in the low 40s before they were found by a passing motorist.

   This just in: Obama’s poll numbers continue to become more favorable while the GOP’s continue to tank. Obama’s has the highest approval rating in years, according to poll just released today and corroborated by all other polls…..

    Tony has shown his lack of knowledge of economics but maybe he could post the right wing GOP accomplishments for us…..and maybe he could tell me how drastically reducing government spending will grow the economy and crete jobs…I am waiting, Tony

    This just in from the Fox Right Wing Propaganda Network: some right wing extremist congressmen in Texas (you know, the kind who are like Rick Perry and barely got through college) have drafted a bill that would make it a crime in Texas for police to ennforce new federal gun laws. These right wingers are the same people who embmrace creationism and other lucicrous philosophies and put a big stain on Texas which has millons of progressive in it. Unfortunately, Texas has lots of bubbas, too….

    @USA8888 Lets see the first two’s years democrats had complete control veto prove majorities. So they shove through Healthcare( Still very unpopular), the 800 billion dollar stimulus a bill need to pass beacuse this it worst recession since the great depression. (failure by whitehouse own standards un-employment should be under 6% by now, should have never gotten over 8%) So 2010 landslide they take over the house but still minority in senate. House passes a budget every year, but senate doesn’t. House stop Cap and trade, dream act, trys to slow spending no real cuts. House puts through jobs bill,and other bills they just sit in the senate.

    Mickey–please list the accomplishments of the right wing GOP and tell me how drastically cutting spending will grow the economy and increase jobs. So far, no GOP guy has been able to do it, not romney, not rove, not lian ryan, NOBODY,,but I invite you to try…..

    *Gas, car-tab taxes drive House Dems’ transportation plan

    House Democrats propose a $10 billion transportation package that would gradually raise the gasoline tax to 47.5 cents a gallon within five years.

    House Democrats rolled out a nearly $10 billion transportation package Wednesday that would boost taxes on gasoline, increase car tabs and even charge a bicycle fee to raise money.

    The proposal would increase the state gas tax by 10 cents over five years, eventually reaching a total of 47.5 cents per gallon. Washington currently has the nation’s ninth-highest gas tax.

    In addition, it would create a car-tab tax equal to 0.7 percent of a vehicle’s value — $140 for a $20,000 car.

    There’s even a $25 sales fee on bicycles worth $500 or more that would raise $1 million over 10 years, a nod to motorists who complain that bicyclists don’t pay their fair share.

    (I propose a toliet tax, charge a nickel for everytime you flush, just think of the revenue we could raise)

    This just in from the real news networks: the Scooter Store in Texas has been busted by FBI agents for allegedly bilking Medicare and the public for hundreds of millions of dollars. The indictment alleges doctors have been pressured to write presciptions that are not needed and that millions of dollars have been wrongly charged to Medicare….many of Scooter’s employees will testify against the Scooter Store….
    Obama is trying to stop Medicare fraud. The GOP is trying to…fill in the blanks….

    Many people on this site may be higher wage earners then they think. Here is the scale.
    Top 1%: $380,354
    Top 5%: $159,619
    Top 10%: $113,799
    Top 25%: $67,280
    Top 50%: >$33,048
    This is family income. So, if you are married, over 50, have been with the same company for 10 years, you are likely in the top 10%. Most UAW members are in the top 10%. One of the main reasons family incomes have dropped in the past ten years is because of the dropped in marriage and the increase in divorce.

    DD, I don’t think you make things up. I could have worded my statement better, half a sleep at the time. I take everything posted with a grain of salt. People who post links to prove their points get more credit then those that don’t.

    DD, haven’t the liberals told you enough that the democrats aren’t part of voter fraud. It’s all done by the big bad evil republicans.

    Bobbyv, you are right about some people not wanting the money. There are many how decide to be a one income family. There are people who take the $50,0000 40 hours a week job over a higher paying job that will take 50, 60 or more hours a week.

    Coffee, Obamacare is like many of the programs politician put in place. They don’t do any research to see what is needed. They get an idea and go for it. Obama is doing the same for preschool.
