    @ rob it is up every week in all viewer catorgories. Just because the overall number isnt up doesnt mean its not increasing its viewers. And im sure it wont stay airing after PLL but they work good together why change it if you dont have too.

  • r0ckmypants

    @agoodboy – You really make yourself look stupid every week.

  • Zach

    Dallas fans calm down. Check it. There have been two weeks of growth in viewers even though the rating dropped .1 notice the viewers ticked up which means that the target 25-54 might have grown. Also go read the weekly ratings notes which show live+3 and +7 showing strong growth after time shifted factored in.

    S@B people need not worry either. ABCF seems committed to the show with the ALS episode and notice that it dropped .1 yet viewers states about steady only down about 200k so that may mean that the target demo of the show was steady (of course idk what target is for

  • Recognizing Truth

    Good to see Dallas up in viewership again, they’re gaining great momentum for this Who Shot JR 2? storyline and I agree with Zach the 25-54 is more of Dallas’ target. This site sometimes throws people off into thinking every single show’s main demo is the 18-49 when its not. Some shows like the CBS procedurals are in the 25-54 and the teen shows like on The CW, MTV, and ABC Family are in the 18-34 range. Also the kid shows on Disney and Nick are in the 2-11 or 12-17 demos.

    @Greg

    TCA’s may stand for Critics, but half of them are glorified stenographers for network press releases. It’s a glorified marketing push. Critics hated the “preview” of 1600 Penn and it had a panel. Almost all critics had seen (and panned) Zero Hour by its panel, etc. etc.

  • Neal

    Dallas losing to Robot Chicken isn’t good!

  • Dan

    Not bad for Dallas. It should do better in the next couple weeks with JR’s death. Im really enjoying this season much more than last.

  • Masterbreel

    .5 is mwa for BH, hope it rebounces to .6/.7

  • ugh yeah

    I hope Vanderpump Rules gets cancelled! It is sooo fake! And with those RHOBH ratings, there won’t be any raises anytime soon, you hear that trailerpark Brandi Glanville?

  • Greg

    @Tom

    The audience has been similar to Jane by Design, but it’s not as much as a flop as JBD. What made JBD such a huge failure is the fact that it was doing THAT low after Pretty Little Liars. And it was airing in the summer, for crying out loud! That was just awful. Bunheads is doing this low after a 0.6, which’s not bad.

    I feel like if they could extend the order for season 1 (and thus not having to rediscuss salaries and all), instead of renewing it for a season 2, ABC Family would do that, especially with Secret Life wraping up by May and only three remaining dramas (obviously they will launch more new shows, but they could just as easily do the same as Bunheads and Jane, if not worse).

    @John

    Those were shows that were about to premiere. The critics had only seen an episode of them and needed to have a clearer sense of what these shows were about. Baby Daddy had aired 10 episodes. Not a single critic had enjoyed them. Most didn’t even pass the initial episodes send by ABC Family. Some didn’t even bother to watch them. And even the stenographer critics wouldn’t be interested in a panel, because there’s not enough interest about the show (as you can noticing by observing the lack of news reports regarding season 2!). Nobody was interested in a panel for Baby Daddy.

  • John A

    Please TLG is a flop and SAB is a hit? LMAO Both are weak Performers.

  • Stu

    Whether or not you have to worry about Dallas depends on a lot of things. How expensive it is for the network, what else they have in the queue, whether it gets any particular critical distinctions (Southland) that helps to distinguish the network brand. I don’t think a .7 for a show with that kind of promotion is all that exceptional. Leverage got cancelled with those kinds of ratings and demos. I could see the network going either way on it.

  • Tom

    @ Greg Extending Bunheads would be sublime. However, remember something I mentioned in an earlier post: the writing has to pick up. When Amy Sherman Palladino and her husband Daniel were writing for Gilmore Girls, they moved the plot along at a leisurely pace. That was acceptable because they had a long term commitment from the WB. ASP is still doing that at Bunheads despite the fact that she was eventually only given an eight episode back order. That was a signal to hurry up which she ignored. Her big mistake was in picking up various plot elements and then putting them down before they were resolved. For example, it took her 15 episodes to finally get around to investigating Michelle’s family background. The whole show is built around Michelle’s inner turmoil and that issue should have been explored much earlier. Casting her real brother in the role of her fictional brother led to some of the best moments the show has seen. However, no sooner did ASP introduce the fantastic Lolita Davidovich as Michelle’s mom, than she dropped the whole storyline and moved on to Talia’s wedding. That sort of thing has repeatedly occurred on Bunheads and no amount of great acting will counter the frustration it causes. I’m with you in hoping Bunheads gets a reprieve from cancellation. But, I think a miracle like that would come with strings attached.

  • NewEnglandMike

    I know I’m the only person in my circle of friends watching Bunheads but I am really enjoying it, and I am really going to miss it.

  • Greg

    @Tom

    That doesn’t bother me. With Amy Sherman-Palladino’s shows, I don’t take into account the plot that much. I just like to watch those people talking in that unique way and the characters interact and their relationships grow. And the fact is that Bunheads has SO much plot to develop now. All of the girls have their own plot now and so does Michelle. Plus there’s the story about the amphitheatre and Paris Geller and all the recurring characters. So there’s always something interesting happening on Bunheads.

  • pll fan

    bunheads isn’t getting renewed. the numbers have been awful since it returned. it got the back order to see if numbers could improve. they didn’t. in fact, they got worse. there’s no way the network renews it, especially with it constantly going over budget production-wise as well. the network isn’t going to continue to waste money on it.

    those numbers for s@b aren’t good. i don’t think monday being a holiday had much to do with it. it’s not like it was the 4th of july or christmas. it was president’s day. some people had the day off but a lot of people didn’t. switched’s numbers need to go back up and stay at at least a 0.7 demo.

  • kyle

    What about RuPaul’s Drag Race???

  • Kelby

    I love Dallas! I think the show is doing very well as far as writing and acting. I do not miss an episode. I think a couple of episodes from now, we will be to Larry Hagman’s last episode. Long live J.R.!

  • EKS

    Just a note for you Dallas fans… Leverage was cancelled and blamed on ratings and it was much HIGHER than Dallas’s numbers here.

  • Michael

    Dumb question,

    Does anyone know why Family Guy reruns do better on Adult Swim than they do on TBS? You would think the TBS episodes, which air first, would do better. Also, the TBS episodes should benefit from being interspersed with the higher-rated reruns of The Big Bang Theory.
