A 2.9 rating for Rules of Engagement? And CBS is probably going to cancel it?

It’s been on and moved to so many time slots but still has a loyal following after all these years. CBS: Renew Rules and use as replacement/mid-season for next season like you did this year. It obviously still works.

@Lena the “hate” for H50 isn’t coming from actual Castle fans, it’s coming from trolls posting as fans (the same group of people who post the stupid posts about Castle every week) they post purely to get a reaction out of people and to stir up people who actually like the shows.

Obviously some Mike and Molly fans watch Castle LOL

I’m happy to see all the positive buzz surrounding The Following. Ryan Hardy is the new Jack Bauer but the only downside is we get only 15 new episodes a season instead of 24. With CBS going into repeat mode TF should go even higher & maybe get a new personal high soon.

Yes, it’s still gets lower ratings than the other five comedies.

Also, I believe the cast contracts are up now, so Sony may have difficulty resigning people onto a show which is only going to be a midseason replacement (and/or CBS may not be willing to pay enough for it).

Fan Excuse Bingo should be fun if The Following tops The Voice head-to-head at any point this season. ;)

    Way to go Castle.

LOVE seeing Castle adjust UP for once! I’m hoping we’ll see a new season high next week. The episode this week was amazing and I’m thinking the conclusion will be as well! Go Castle!

90210 is a massive flop, it already tied Nikita’s series low 0.2…..This show deserves to be axed with or without wrap up. There’s no way in hell The CW will give it a short final season, what they should give it is the boot!!

A massive flop that will air 114 episodes? Hate to see how you would describe a show that was canceled after one season (e.g. Ringer).

    @ulitma:

CBS obviously has not had a comedy hit in quite a while now except for Mike and Molly and 2 Broke Girls. And Rules does come in # 3 in the coveted 18-49 demo in the 8-9pm hour and 6th overall for the night.

If contracts are up it’s done but CBS might want to keep Rules where it is for the entire next season and end the show properly since it’s been on so long and has loyal viewers. It would be a proper send-off for a show that has been on so long.

That’s two in the past three seasons, not bad considering the very limited schedule space they devote to freshman comedies.

That doesn’t mean anything though. Rules of Engagement needs to be valuable to CBS to remain on the air, meaning that there actually has to be a need for it in the first place.

There was a need last season because their pilots were underwhelming and Rules was priced right. This season, CBS ordered a ridiculous number of comedy pilots, so it’s less likely they’ll feel to the need to hold onto a presumably more expensive Rules.

    end the show properly

Meh. I get that fans care (some to ridiculous extremes), but that’s all on the writers and producers; outside of big hits or pet projects, the networks have little incentive to ensure that shows end “properly.”

Hawaii 5-0= Just another cop show

Castle= Awesomeness!!!! yay for Bones :)

  • NikitaAddiction

EVERYONE WATCH NIKITA THIS FRIDAY!! BEST SHOW ON TV!!#TEAMNIKITA

  • Jarrod

The CW won’t cut their losses with 90210. It’ll get SOME kind of wrap up whether they do a TV movie or even 6 episodes. Either way, The CW will renew it. GG and EO, M.D. are already out. TCD and Cult will follow REGARDLESS if their ratings are higher than 90210, because they’re freshman shows that are getting below average compared to what 90210 got earlier this season. Nikita, HOD and BATB will most likely follow 90210 in renewal.

    The Following! :D

Glad to see Castle go up – it was really excellent episode. The drop for H50 since last episode is worrysome and hard to explain. Second half of season 3 has been very good so far. The show had 2.3-2.4 ratings – I don’t get the sudden drop from last and this week.

  • POI

does that mean CBS beats ABC?
