NO. 16 NEW MEXICO TAKES ON NO. 22 COLORADO STATE SATURDAY NIGHT AT 4 P.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS NETWORK
Stan Van Gundy to Call Matchup of Top 25 Teams
College Basketball Doubleheaders on NBC Sports Network Thursday Night and Saturday
NEW YORK – February 20, 2013 – NBC Sports Network’s coverage of the 2012-13 college basketball season continues this week with a Top 25 matchup between No. 16 New Mexico and No. 22 Colorado State, as well as college hoops doubleheaders on Thursday night and Saturday.
Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network will feature an important Mountain West showdown featuring two Top 25 teams, when No. 16 New Mexico travels to Moby Arena in Fort Collins, Colo. to take on No. 22 Colorado State. Former NBA head coach and NBC Sports Network analyst Stan Van Gundy will pair with play-by-play analyst Steve Schlanger to call the action.
Following New Mexico-Colorado State, at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday night, San Diego State hosts Nevada at the Viejas Arena in San Diego, Calif. Veteran play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will callalongside Blaine Fowler.
Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET, Delaware will host Drexel at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del. Todd Harris will call the action with analyst Ron Thompson.
At 9 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network will feature a West Coast Conference women’s basketball matchup, when Gonzaga hosts Santa Clara at McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Wash. Ted Robinson will manage play-by-play duties forand will be joined by analyst Krista Blunk.
The NBC Sports Network will televise more than 65 college basketball games this season -- the most in its history -- featuring more than 40 different schools. The majority of the games and teams will come from the Atlantic 10, Mountain West, Colonial Athletic Association and Ivy League conferences.
