For the Mentalist, POI was a definitely a stronger lead in (last season) than TGW.

  • DryedMangoez

    Yay TAR! Higher than Survivor!

    Thanks for updating the table.

BE it Robert, Bill or Sara. Sorry I keep forgetting there are others posting the data.

Better for Once Upon a Time, but this is still not the way to go for these shows, they are capable of much better. If they both stay on Sundays next season (and I say that DWTS should move following OUAT) and revenge should anchor mondays, they should air 12 eps in the fall and 12 in spring. No episodes in january or february. They come back at the beggining of march, after the oscars. I think there are enough weeks to air 12/12 but, if not, do 13/11 and they will be fine (this may actually be better so that they can have recaps the week before coming back). In the mean time, just do cheap reality. I would propose something like: Winter Wipeout/ The Taste/ Celebrity Wife Swap, but they can change it to whatever they like.

“haha to those Amazing Race fans gloating it beat OUAT. They tied.”

Actually Robb when I first saw your post, my very first thought was, dude you should check the weekly Top Twenty list. Unlike lower performing shows or networks like the CW, where we will never see the number of adults 18-49. We will most weeks for TAR, and Once Upon a Time (and Survivor as it got brought up a lot Sunday as well).

Just a tie, to the first decimal spot, still gives a significant range for a show to beat or lose to another.

For example several posters on Sunday was asking if this was the first time TAR beat Survivor, it wasn’t. Its happened several times over the last three years, when you can look at the specific hard data, and not the rating.

    So in other words.

    HA, HA!

Cbs had better at least renew Mentalist for a final season and better not cancel it. I need a resolve to Red John.

  • DW

nothing to be lame about. do not blame tgw ratings on TM ratings as the TM does better than TGW. if you want to blame ratings i think people woke up to how bad TM is. a second grader could write that crap.

  • Holly

Wow…If The Good Wife doesn’t bounce back from this, even Fridays won’t be an option for them.

  • Ryan

The Good Wife is looking really bad. I just wish CBS would tell the writers that this is the final season and to write a proper finale. It’s time to go now.

  • PhilipM

    …not unlike your comments, DW.

Whether you like it or not, TGW is in critical condition. It reached a 2.0 rating 13 times last season. This year, it won’t even draw a single 2.0 rating–and the season four renewal was already regarded as driven by syndication hopes. TGW’s rating were awful before, now they make you search for the right adjectives to describe the mess.

If there was no syndication deal on the table within the next two months, it would be shocking to see TGW return.

  • rob60990

Amazing Race has nowhere to go but down. OUAT will continue to increase.

  • DW

weather you like it or not PhillipM , CBS does not own TM they do own TGW and it has been sold into syndication to overseas markets in a package deal. if TGW goes thats fine , its had a great run but why pay for something like TM when you own TGW. then again there are many pilots in the works and they may get rid of more dramas than we think.

  • John A

How many episodes of TGW is there this season?

  • DW

22 for the season it should end before may sweeps as TAR and survivor finals will take up 2 sundays in may and the last sunday is memorial day.

  • ToXiX

    It’s a 1.8.

    Revenge.

Not a 2.1-2.4. Where’s the douche who said it would be 2.1-2.4

  • Meghan

@rob60990 OUAT has aired only one episode this season – your “OUAT will continue to increase” comment is therefore irrelevant.

  • Charmaine

    WOOOOO for the Mentalist!!!!! :D

Crying shame about The Good Wife ratings. Here is another sterling example of the disconnect between quality programming and ratings. The other end of the spectrum is CBS’s Big Bang Theory. Does it deserve the monstrous ratings it receives after becoming a little long in the tooth and stale having been on the air for so long? It is not a horrible sitcom and is pleasant enough but it’s ratings are more closely tied to its omnipresent syndication run rather than quality, inventiveness and freshness. Rant over, carry on.

  • Rob

Too bad for TGW. Easily the best episode of the season. Hopefully once Kalinda gets more involvement/storyline in a couple episodes (a subplot that DOES NOT involve her husband), maybe some younger viewers that lost interest will come back.
