Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of February 11 to February 17, 2013
- In February sweeps to date, Univision ranks as the #4 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-performing NBC by +43% and +22%, respectively.
- Season to date, Univision ranks #1 on Friday night among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49; #2 M-F among Adults 18-34.
- On Monday night, Univision ranked as the #4 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC in both demographics. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for both demographics.
· On Tuesday night, President Obama delivered his State of the Union Address which was televised across various networks including: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, UNI (aired late fringe). Because it pre-empted most primetime programming, there will be no network/program ranker for the night.
- On Wednesday night, Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC in each demographic. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for Adults 18-34; top 15 for Adults 18-49.
- On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC in each demographic. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for both demographics.
- For the sixth consecutive Friday night, Univision ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.
- Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked #4 among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. The network out-delivered CBS among Adults 18-34 and NBC among Adults 18-49. “Sabado Gigante” saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.2 Million, +5%), Adults 18-49 (845,000, +2%), and Adults 18-34 (347,000, +11%). Also, it ranked among the top 10 programs of the evening for each demographic.
- On Sunday night, Univision ranked #3 among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC in both demographics. Also, Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 20 programs for each demographic.
ü At 7 p.m., Unvision aired a special, Jenni Rivera themed edition of “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now), which saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.8 Million, +21%), Adults 18-49 (1.3 Million, +32%), and Adults 18-34 (522,000, +37%). It was the highest rated telecast of the season among Total Viewers 2+ and second highest among Adults 18-49.
ü Following “Aqui” at 8 p.m., “Simplemente Jenni,” a Don Francisco hosted special featuring interviews with Jenni Rivera’s family, averaged 3.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 799,000 Adults 18-34.
ü At 9 p.m., “Jenni Rivera…La Diva Vive,” a Don Francisco hosted special highlighting Jenni Rivera’s appearances on “Don Francisco Presenta” and “Sabado Gigante”, averaged 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 868,000 Adults 18-34.
ü Following “Diva” at 10 p.m., “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.1 Million, +30%), Adults 18-49 (1.5 Million, +45%), and Adults 18-34 (619,000, +57%).
- At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Por Ella Soy Eva” (For Her, I’m Eva) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49. “Por Ella Soy Eva” averaged 4.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 951,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Amores Verdaderos” (True Love) helped Univision rank as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 and #4 for Adults 18-49 for the hour (M-F). “Amores Verdaderos” averaged 4.6Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.5 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34.
- Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Amor Bravio” (Fierce Love) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #3 for Adults 18-49. “Amor Bravio” averaged 3.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 Million Adults 18-49, and 837,000 Adults 18-34.










At this point I’d be surprised if Univision wasn’t kicking NBC’s butt.
Sheesh, I just wish they would leave Jenni Rivera alone. It’s been over two months since she died. Still, I’m glad Univision has good ratings, and can easily beat an English network.
