   Real Husbands and Second Generation is standing strong. Two of the best shows on since The Game and Let’s Stay Together. Btw, I’m ready for those two to come back on again. Kudos to BET for finally giving us quality.

   Good for Cougar Town? HAHA, its worst retention from TBBT so far. Even TBBT rerun at 10:30 did better. That’s pathetic.

   Good to see PLL steady.

   I’m convinced the main reason BET does so well is because the networks don’t have air any black-oriented shows. I bet if The CW came up with some UPN-esque minority sitcoms then they would outperform most of their current shows.

   I know Justified’s 0.8 and just over 2 million total viewers for the first airing is fine for FX, but it’s hilariously low for one of the best shows on television. Damn, people have horrible taste. LOL

   White Collar repeats very nicely at 1.00 a.m.

   Taken in a vacuum, a 1.1 for Cougar Town seems fine, but couldn’t TBS just show another 30 minutes of The Big Bang Theory for much cheaper (and better ratings) than they’re paying for Cougar Town?

    That would imply that there’s a lot of people that have watched Justified and not liked it. While that’s certainly true of some people, the vast majority have simply never seen it. I’m sure the number of people that have never heard of Justified is also fairly high.

    Such a shame White Collar and Justified are on at the same time. They both hurt each other. Noticed the nice numbers for 1am Collar rerun of original.

    I agree Rick. I love both Justified and White Collar. I just started watching Justified live this season though. So many people told me to check it out and I did and fell in love. I actually watch Justified now and DVR White Collar. Then again I think this is the worst season of White Collar by far. So that made the choice easy for me. I miss when White Collar used to air at 9pm.

    Cougar Town’s numbers show that TBS would do better with Big Bang Theory reruns than by saving Happy Endings. No way HE does better than CT. Probably worse. Certainly more expensive than airing TBBT repeats.

    Seeing how Supernatural airings all managed a 0.4, CW should really take a look and see how their #3 show that is in syndication and has shown multiple repeats are beating first run episodes of 90210 at 0.2 and barely break 550k. Same could be said about Carrie.

    A few weeks back SPN managed 2 0.4 and 0.5 on TNT. In Syndication it beat or tied Nikita, 90210, Carrie Diaries, Hart of Dixie, Emily Owens M.D., and as much as I rooted for Cult to premiere stable we can now add another CW show to this list which totals 6 shows. This is more than half of the network CW get a brain and strategize people!!!

    Also Nice to see Charmed on the list, Cougar Town maintaining its 1.1, BBT a beast as always, Pretty Little Liars is solid for ABC Family.

    Glad Cougar Town is steady, and Pretty Little Liars episode was bad, but still good.

    Big Bang reruns are huge for TBS and make them a lot of money, but it’s still a CBS show. Original series build up the network franchise and make TBS a player in the original series market rather than just a runner of broadcast repeats. Cougar Town is doing better than Suits, White Collar, Justified etc. and can be considered nothing less than a hit. Big Bang gets 20 million+ viewers in its originals. TBS doesn’t expect anything to match even its reruns.

    I don’t think you understand 1) how the cable business model works, and 2) why TBS bought Cougar Town in the first place.

    It’s an investment for the future. The same with all of TBS’ comedies. Yes, it could be a network of Big Bang repeats, but that’s a short fix solution. TBS wants to — and needs to — start planting seeds of other shows to establish a brand outside of Big Bang repeats once the numbers for that show begins to wane. Originals can also fetch a higher ad dollar than repeats since they all go up with DVR numbers & other methods of viewing. Cougar Town shares a similar audience to a Happy Endings or a Community in that it attracts a very, very well off audience. That can drive ad rates higher than what’s perceived by a demo number.

    Exactly. Cougar Town is now the #1 comedy on cable. That’s a hit. There’s no other way to slice that.

    With a steady 1.1, I bet TBS tries launching a 10:30 companion show for COUGAR TOWN next January. Would be smart to do business with CT producers for a compatible show.

    And I’ll say it again. I wish TBS had the rights to air SCRUBS. Comedy Central solely airs it in morning slots now. Would probably do well with CT in daily reruns.

    I doubt it, they want the 10:30pm TBBT lead-in for Conan.

    My guess is they plan to launch shows at 10pm across weeknights, starting with Tues/Wed/Thur due to TBBT.
