   (Why 10pm? No comedy competition from the broadcast networks who don’t want a dead 10:30-11pm half-hour)

   PLL still doing wonders given the serial nature and complexity of the show.

   Currently Troian Bellisario, my favorite PLL, is the centerpiece of recent episodes and is demonstrating real acting talent.

   If I had my druthers, PLL would cut back on the Ezra baby story line and the Caleb father story line (even though I like Caleb as a character). They’d have to find something else to occupy Aria and Hannah with regard to the “A” plot, tho, as currently Emily and Spencer are the center of the show with regards to “A”.

   In other words, I’d like to see the show tighten up its story arc to be mainly focused on “A”. The addition of the cop as a suspect and this week’s events brought Hannah and her mother deeper into the “A” story line which I think is good. Now they need to bring Aria back in deeper.

   OMG Drake and Josh is great it’s best that new episodes of Marvin Marvin, Big Time Rush and is best that last episodes of Victorious and iCarly (no iGoodbye)

   Cougar Town is also beating or tying several network comedies and dramas. No denying TBS made the right move. The daily 5:00 repeats are doing well, too. CT will continue to grow. Just watch.

   @Steve, I totally agree that this season of WC’s horrible. The writing’s crashing and burning this show. I’m losing interest. It needs an adrenaline shot and fast.

   Considering it’s probably made on a small budget, and it has to compete with the big 3 networks [ABC, CBS, and NBC, (Fox does not air programs at 10 PM)], I would say that Cougar Town is doing very well for TBSC. It’s a good small show that was worth renewing, on a different network. Lowered expectations worked out well for a program that was not going to have the giant ratings of The Big Bang Theory or fail very badly similar to Work It.

   How can people say that Cougar Town is doing well? Season 1 and 2 averaged 7.34 viewers; season 3 averaged 5.19. So far this season the average is 2.16. I think this show is doing bad.

   @Jim: Season 1, 2, and 3 of Cougar Town aired on ABC. The show is now on TBSC, a much smaller network which is not treated the same as the other major networks. If TBSC was expected to be the equal of ABC, CBS, CW, Fox and NBC; their ratings would shown in the same place as the other networks are. Instead TBSC’s ratings are grouped together with other cable networks.
   There are lowered expections when a show goes from ABC to TBSC.
   The same thing happened when Futurarama went from Fox to Comedy Central.
   Comedy Central is not considered as big a network as Fox. No one expects a show that airs on Comedy Central to get the same ratings as a show which airs on Fox.

    @Ben…You make some good points. I agree with lowered expectations moving from ABC to TBS. You are seeing it with Cougar Town. Not a terrible show but the quality and content was a lot better on ABC than it is on TBS.

    The Lying Game isn’t on the list because TVByTheNumbers only gets numbers for the top 100 shows in the 25-54 demo. (They state this clearly in red in the article above.) The Lying Game has a younger audience than Pretty Little Liars so it never makes the top 100 in this demo. The show has been averaging at 0.6/0.5 in the 18-49 demo. Ratings for the latest episode are likely to be posted in the comments tonight or tomorrow.

    @Jim that’s not the truth… at least for me.
    The show is funnier on TBS and they can explore some sexual and more outrageous sides that ABC was not allowing them.

    Any show retain 100% of its lead in. every show has its own fan base. the 20M fans of TBBT don’t watch the next show. as a Fan of Cougar Town I only watch CT cause I don’t like TBBT, and people that only watch TBBT will not watch CT.

    if Grey’s do for example a 2.6 and scandal do a 2.8, excuse me but those 2.6 of the 2.8 are not exclusively Grey’s fans.

    TBBT does 2.0 on TBS and CT does 1.1. you can’t say CT lost 0.9 of the TBBT’s audience ’cause we are talking about fans and some fans only turn on the TV to watch their fav show and not its lead in.

    I think TBS is proud of CT and will renew it soon. you can’t expect a small show to do better than a HIT

    Amazingly, no 10pm cable show beat Vegas’ paltry 1.5. That’s an astonishing number to win a timeslot with in sweeps.

    Yet again, the UFC reality show continues to suck in the ratings and get about half as many viewers as the show that comes on immediately after, Justified. I have to agree with an earlier poster that it is almost criminal how view people watch what I consider to be the best show on tv. FX better not cancel Justified after putting such a horrible lead in before it like TUF. Pretty impressive to double the ratings of the previous show for Justified, and pretty horrible for TUF to have half the ratings of a show that is later in the night.

    I don’t think we have any worry of Justified being canceled. The ratings are still pretty decent. It will definitely get another season. I think SOA will be gone before Justified. That show is running on its last leg. I quit that show a few years back.

    A better question would be is why are you so obsessed about wanting TLG to fail. :-\
