The New Normal was adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus the preliminary Tuesday broadcast ratings.

The three broadcast networks that have 10 PM programming all had new shows, not repeats. The total rating was 1.5 (Vegas) + 1.2 (Body of Proof) + 0.9 (Smash) = 3.6. Is that a record low total for 10 PM on a Tuesday?

Yeah, 5 weeks in a row at 21 million, vast improvement over the 16 and 17 million viewers it was getting last October and November when the weather was warm. It will dive down under 20 million come April when everybody is out and about, I can’t see myself sitting in a house, watching an ‘NCIS’ episode where Gibbs investigates his barber’s son’s murder. ZZZZZZ yawn!!!!!!!! Which btw is a future ‘NCIS’ epiosde, just hope the Barbie Doll Warrior Princess is written out come May.
What happen to Vegas? It always had low demos but was able to garner well over 10 million viewers consistently. Maybe the premiere of Body of Proof effected Vegas. They may share some of the same older audience.
Regarding NBC, The New Normal had so much potential but it has really turned into a poorly written and performed show. It is a complete mess, imo. The little girl has become annoying. I wish the two guys could just leave the “extended family” and start a life somewhere else. And they could meet a leading actress that is more edgy similar to the young lady on Don’t Trust the B… I don’t like the entire tone of the show. It could be more groundbreaking but has turned into a sappy, syrupy,kiddie show. NBC wanted in to be their Modern Family but its more like their Glee(season 4)
LMAO @ NBC. Even after months with The Voice as a lead in, Go On and New Normal can’t muster decent numbers on their own. Can’t wait to see the numbers for Revolution next month.
I think The New Normal can have some really funny moments and episodes. And then others seem to be trying a little too hard at points and are stupid. The dog episode last night for instance was just dumb. The little girl was the best part of that episode. They give her some of the best dialogue. Time will tell, but it needs to improve in some ways.

I feel bad about Cult…but the episode was available on Hulu for at least a week before the CW debut. Let’s see how it does next Tuesday…

The new normal is just a dreadful show. Ryan Murphy should be embarrassed. Not because of the themes of homosexuality, but because of how cringeworthy unfunny it is.
