“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54, THE DEMOGRAPHIC MOST IMPORTANT TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 17, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 4.2/11 with 6.19m viewers and a 1.7/08 in adults 25-54.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its largest audience since February 4, 1996 – just over 17 years ago. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in households (from 4.0/11), +9% in viewers (from 5.66m) and +13% in adults 25-54 (from 1.5/07).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in households (4.0/11 from 3.7/10), +6% in viewers (5.68m from 5.34m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) compared to last year.

Sunday’s broadcast featured Rita Braver report on meteorites and the danger they may pose to folks on Earth; Lee Cowan’s profile of the multi-talented entertainer and LET’S MAKE A DEAL host Wayne Brady; and Mo Rocca’s look at our 18th president Ulysses S. Grant and the story behind his best-selling autobiography.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
