So much for the 55% retention argument for BaTB we heard so much about last week.

I don’t know why, but that 2.4 for Elementary is looking pretty good this week.

  • Melissa

Scandal‘s 2.7 this week boosted its seasonal average to a 2.4, which is the same number Revenge is averaging at this point. But if you go by the last five episodes…

    Scandal: 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.7, 2.7 – 2.7 average
    Revenge: 2.4, 2.0, 1.7, 1.4, 1.8 – 1.9 average

Scandal could not even benefit from Grey’s being up 3 tenths from last week.

  • Mark

It’s been a good season of Grey’s so far! Better story lines than last year.

Happy for POI #2 CBS drama of the week again vs Idol and Grey. Lock for #2 CBS drama for the season and only one drama growing from last season. Happy for Jonathan Nolan debut as director and Sarah Shahi series debut too. Think this episode will be higher rated than ncis la spin off pilot but we will see. Dramas prime is season 3 so with POI growing in season 3 is best time for spin off. Just happy and feel good.

@Ch2164 you should be because i can see Carries Diaries getting renewed over beauty and the beast because it loses more than half of TVD audience and demo.Plus TCD is a self starter

Happy PoI kept the 2.9 as expected.

Not sure if that is the final death call for BatB – but not good.

Congrats to GA and Elementry adjusting up, that 2.4 looks good maybe it will get renewed.

Elementary start working for CBS. Good. Was against suits finale which is best usa show these days. But Elementary add around 15 000 viewers and was adjusted up POI add 10 000 viewers and no adjustment.

Very good night for the Shonda dramas, so well deserve for both. I wish TVD had adjusted up, that episode was incredible. But it went up 0.3, that is a very big deal on the cw. Kind of hate that we now have a break, but oh well. Beauty and the Beast is doing horribly. Maybe the cw is better of simply leaving Nikita alone on Fridays and us the 9pm slot to repeat its new shows. It would have a bigger budget to promote new shows:

    Mondays
    The Tomorrow People
    The Hundred

    Tuesday
    The Selection
    Hart of Dixie

    Wednesday
    Arrow
    Supernatural

    Thursday
    The Vampire Diaries
    The Originals

    Friday
    Nikita
    Repeats

A 5th drama could be launched at midseason and something could then be moved to fridays.

Elementary is making Hawaii 50 look even worse. Weaker lead in, bigger competition and better numbers :)
This show may get stronger with time, same as POI.

I’m a Community fan and can accept that the show will not be around for another season with these ratings. I also enjoy Parks & Rec, but I do wonder if the shows were flipped, how the ratings would turn out. Would it be Parks with the 1.1 vs the BBT/AI combo? Of course, 1.1 v 1.4 doesn’t really matter since they are both unfortunately awful.

    B&B steady..Elementary climbing yay!!!

  • Serial Rocker

Good for Elementary. I’m not really much of a believer in the supposed longterm benefits of the after Super Bowl slot but if that actually has helped the show then all good.

I’ve never watched BatB so this is in no way a comment on its quality but I’d say that if it survives for a second season it will only be because so many other CW shows are doing much worse. On its own merits it doesn’t look all that healthy to me. A 0.5 after TVD’s 1.3? Compare that to Arrow and Supernatural’s Wednesday night balance and it doesn’t look too good.

  • Bri

Happy to see Grey adjusted up. That 9 years old soap is still doing better than the new show on CBS!

  • omabin

Also, I forgot to say, but as much as I have been criticizing Elementary for its ratings, it did very good this week. I still say that it is best suited for fridays or sundays given CBS’S needs to launch new dramas on weekdays and the collapse of fridays and sundays, but if cbs goes for the two hour comedy expansion on thursday next season as i think they should, they might as well leave it where it is for stability purposes

Kind of expected TVD to go down based on half hours glad it didnt. Also im tired of TBBT success i like it but really it dont deserve these amazing number. A 4.0 demo be more appropriate.

It seems that people lost interest in Scandal, it has fallen dramatically in audience. I’m disappointed because I really thought Scandal was going to get more audience than Modern Family. I was wrong. I could see a drop in ratings in the coming weeks.

  • TV Addict

    No!!!!!!!!! Community!!!!! Say it ain’t so!!!!! #sixseasonsandamovie #yeahright #thisisthedarkesttimeline

I might check out Scandal see why it gets these ratings.

Um, it’s only a tenth below its series high and it is steady week-to-week. How is that “falling dramatically”?
