    @Bookworm –
    The problem with a serial show like Scandal, it’s hard for people to join it mid-season and get a full understanding of where the bodies are buried and why the references are made.
    But, I think unlike most regular shows, you will find strong numbers during reruns period and come next season (a new season seems certain) that’s when we will get additional viewers/followers of the story and then become more competitive with Grey’s.

    @Bookworm

    That’s awesome cant wait for the next new episode!

    BTW does anybody know when Scandal is supposed to return?

    Beauty and the Beast was great last night. Sad to see it fall back to a .5. Great for TVD thow last night thow.

  • bluejays

    Wow I may have spoken too soon about Elementary. A strong couple of weeks.

    nice to see Grey’s doing good as always.

    TCD and 90210 will be cancelled. why? 90210 ratings is become more pathethic! it’s true that Nikita also got 0.2 in early of the season but Nikita rating keep increasing and stay about 0.5 (and it’s in Friday) and 90210 have higher rating in the beginning but keep decreasing ’til now.

    TCD – for a series in their freshmen year got 0.4 is pethetic! no chance at renewal unless its rating increase.

    BATB – i kinda like the show but i hate both of its leads. KK is one of the worst actress i ever known! she can’t act! if the rating stays at 0.5, 80% this show will be canceled

    Cult – too early to tell. i give 3 more episode to decide.

    OR because you are kids with low and bad education.

    And YES POI is only drama and one of the few shows UP year-to-tear. TBBT is other one show. When eridapo came and show his long and big tables onceagain all people will see the true. POI average this season is 3.0 last season was 2.8.

  • Dat

    @Melissa

    You are only comparing POI episode yesterday and 1 episode from last year, of course there’s variation. What Petar says is still true. POI is growing. Just yesterday’s episode falling below this season’s average.

    No she’s not liar.

    Yes, Person of Interest‘s average is up year-to-year, but rob60990 and I were simply noting that the drama is down vs. the year-ago telecast. There’s a difference. Also, Person of Interest‘s final average last year was a 2.9, not a 2.8.

    P.S: I don’t need education tips from someone whose comments are constantly illogical and who can’t even form a grammatically correct sentence.

    Once Again Vampire Diaries is solid and in competetion getting a solid 3rd place against first run episodes on Abc and Nbc. If CW had a 9:00 show that could maintain better ratings Cw could have finished #3 during 8-9 and beat NBC for #4 from 9-10. No disrespect to BATB or its fans, but these are horrible ratings.

    CW should have premiered CULT after VD and then moved it to its timeslot. CBS is doing the same thing for its new show Golden Boy OR Golden Rule, whatever it is. CBS will air this show I think Once or Twice on a Much Stronger Week Night in the hopes of gaining a solid audience to then bring it over to Fridays in hopes of keeping most of the audience.. CW should really rethink the term strategy because it wouldn’t hurt CW to try something different as it is already failing miserably in seven timeslots.

    In regards to the person who said congratulations Hart of Dixie you are now getting renewed by the CW..

    If Hart of Dixie does get renewed please move it to 9:00 on another Night where the Network can Revamp its Monday and Tuesday Night timeslots. HOD should get renewed and moved to Fridays at 9 with Nikita. HOD will be more respected with its numbers if it was a friday show than using it as a leadin show with low ratings that have failed to generate or gain viewers from Season One to current Season. If anything HOD had better demos last season.

    CW has a few pilots I find interesting. Oxygen, Tomorrow People and The Originals have really good premise from what I have read based purely on its outline of what the show is about. I have a feeling it will be between Hundred and Selection for the 4th spot. Blink, Company Town, and Reign seem blah. Especially Reign it just looks like a bore fest. But then again these are only only the premise of the show, we have yet to see what the end result will be.

    I find it bizarre that more people do not watch Parks and Recreation. I think it is the best comedy on TV right now. Other shows I can live without but I am hooked on Parks. I get so nervous it will not be renewed. I wonder how it would do on another network. NBC’s ratings seems to suck all around.

    If anyone can answer this, is what people DVR taken in account for ratings?

  • Melissa

    Actually, Person of Interest has been falling for the last five telecasts (it dropped a tenth every episode since hitting a 3.4 in early January). But if you want to go by seasonal averages, sure it’s up 4% (a single tenth) vs. last year. *applauds sarcastically*.

    @Brandy and Nikita.Hod and Nikita are safe for syndication factor.90210 is receiving a final season and if TCD,B&B and Cult are cancelled,That would leave open 4 slots for next year.Mark is not going to clean house because if he does,he has no way of knowing that all their new shows will be hits.Just like this year he thought that Emily owens was going to be a hit because she is meryl daughter but it wasn’t.He thought Carrie was going to be a hit because of sex & city.That is why he made Carrie Diaries a self starter and he also thought Cult would bring in the ratings since secret circle or ringer didn’t.Mark my words Arrow will begin flopping next season also,it has already been below 1.0 twice.Nikita did just about the same in it’s first season and then suddenly drop

  • asdf

    Damn, even though a 1.4 is terrible for Parks, that still makes it NBC’s top rated comedy this week. I’ll take solace in that at least.

  • trstno01

    Most if people criticize something they never have watched is sad..BatB has cone a long way since the pilot. The show has gotten better in storyline and quality. The show is chivery for the new age. For those that like a crime drama with romance..this is your cup of tea..The acting is top notch…Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan have such chemistry that it makes this love story so believeable. Why not take a look…You might be surprised.

  • Dat

    @melissa

    Give me a show this year that went up in ratings since last year. Oh yea, how’s Grey’s doing from last year to this?

    Please. Grey’s are delaying their eventual final season. I can’t wait for it to be over so you won’t have anything to compare to POI.

  • PurpleDrazi

    @stacey

    “Because my math….which means NOTHING says that variable x is next year’s crop of pilots and they are all SciFi in nature and that would conclude that BATB has a better chance? Does this make sense?”

    Your math does make sense to a certain extent. The problem with your formula is that there is more than one variable X. Another variable you need to add is the fact that HOD is closer to syndication while BaTB is in it’s first year and a long way off.

    I’m sure there are other variables to consider as well. The CW is a hard one to predict because they have stuck by some really low performers in the past.

    “P.S: I don’t need education tips from someone whose comments are constantly illogical and who can’t even form a grammatically correct sentence.”

    I don’t think English is Petar’s 1st language so we can’t fault him for that.

    My comment actually had more to do with CBS’ press release from a couple of weeks ago stating POI was the year’s fastest growing drama.

  • Melissa

    You’re funny. So Grey’s Anatomy, which rates better than Person of Interest, is pulling “final-season worthy” numbers, but Person of Interest is a hit? Yeah, that makes sense. *rolls eyes* It’s expected for a sophomore show to grow – it’s not expected for a nine-year-old show to. Oh, but since you asked, Grey’s Anatomy is down 11% (4 tenths) vs. last year, which is good for a veteran drama.

  • Melissa

    @rob60990

    I don’t think English is Petar’s 1st language so we can’t fault him for that.

    I understand that, but he shouldn’t be calling our educations into question when he can’t even speak English properly.
