You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Grey’s Anatomy > Person of DisInterest :D

ABC’s “shining star” Scandal continues to drop just like I said, widening the gap between it and Grey’s.

Go Vampire Diaries, beating both Zero Hour & Community. Show Arrow whose boss.

    #1 Post

  • Max

So, to keep this post ON topic at first- continued congratuations to SCANDAL for continuing this amazing trend of being ABC’s superstar of the season. It just goes to show that proper promotion and sticking with quality always pays off in the end. To know fans and ABC brass alike are finally seeing that SCANDAL>>>REVENGE in every possible way is extremely gratifying to me personally.

Now, to the delight of all of you, I am announcing that this will be my FINAL post here at TVBTN. Glancing around at previous threads (such as the Wednesday night broadcast finals), I see that folks are complaining that this site isn’t what it used to be and they are placing that blame on me. Now as fun as it is to visit here and discuss the numbers, I don’t want anyone to feel as though the quality of the site has diminished because of me.

I still feel as though the vitrol aimed at me is uncalled for since I never once attacked any poster personally, I can no longer deny that it is obvious I am not wanted around these parts. You can all have your fun placing the word “flop” in every show title, go on and on with your CW wars, and have endless arguments about H50 and CASTLE. To me, those three things were always more annoying that what you folks call my “trolling.”

So, go ahead and enjoy the site again. You won’t have to deal with me. Any further posts with the name “Max” will not be me and Robert/Bill can check IP’s to be sure of that. They can also check IP’s of any new members who pop up, since many of you will just assume it is me. It won’t be. I am done and quite happy with my time spent her. Have a good one!

“ABC’s “shining star” Scandal continues to drop just like I said, widening the gap between it and Grey’s.”

Funny how Scandal kept its demo from last week. So much for “Scandal” dropping.

  • Vasco Silva

    Go Grey’s, TVD =)

  • BL

Vampire Diaries beat Community and Zero Hour.

P&R will come back next season as it’s the highest non-The Office rated sitcom.

  • Chris

Beauty And The Beast not taking advantage of it’s lead in. It should be doing better it got the highest lead in on CW.

  • Doug

I don’t know who’s crying more today – this pathetic poster named Max, or fans of Community….

  • Tea

Go Greys still strong and beats POI

  • The End

    Nice to see Elementary up.

Also last nights Person of Interest episode was easily one of the best of the season and gave more insight into who runs the machine, which I thought was kinda neat. Also implies that Reese and Finch were watching these people aka the guy and woman who’s numbers came up in most places.

If I were to guess from this episode alone, Reese will encounter the old guy in charge, Root and that woman who he saved again before the end of the season.
