Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    BATB was epic! I hope the CW is smart and knows it has a real winner with this one. This show could easily be paired with one of the pilots the CW has for next season (Oxygen/Tomorrow People)because after last nights episode this show is clearly going into a more dangerous direction!

  • Skylar James

    @tv_viewer: well obviously you cant, because you just wrote that I said something that I didn’t say…

  • rob60990

    “By the way guys, did Walking Dead beat BBT this week then?”

    We won’t know until Tuesday but it beat it last week by a tenth.

  • The End

    @Petar Ivanov

    You’re on the ball today. Well said yet again. My point earlier to some people saying GREYS IS DA BEST !!11!!! IT WON LOLOL was simply that the show only won in a few areas, people don’t like it when you’re being technical and pointing out that the show lost in other areas against Person of Interest too, with the tired rhetoric TOTAL VIEWERS DON’T MATTER!!!!11!1, when really they’re bringing up one area, you’re bringing up a dozen others to correct them.

    You’re right about the C3 ratings, aka the money you make from advertisements during your program.

    Fanboys in general and their silly logic make no sense at times, which I know you’d agree with.

    @Justin121
    What’s your favorite show?
    Calling POI a flop means you don’t know the definition of the word “flop” when it comes to TV shows.

  • mmel

    @Max
    Max you have to stay , we need you to balance out rob60990. At least you are funny, he is just blah.

  • pickles

    Grey’s Anatomy has been boring lately. I do not care for the recent take over story.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @Skylar James
    as far as I’m aware, you’re the one who started the whole POI vs Grey’s battle over here

    Wrong. Not true and lie. For 2013 year POI beat all the time Greys and i never comment that(grey) show. Only POI and was happy for my show. EASY so check. And you will se that both haters that i name here were again arrogant, low and pathetic. By the way POI fans and NOW will show class and won’t comment Greys they comment their show. We are better persons and should be example.

    SCANDAL CONTINUES TO SHOW REVENFLOP WHAT A HIT REALLY IS.

    I’M SAD THAT MAX IS LEAVING THE SITE. I’LL MISS YOU, MAX. YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION.

    BUT WHEN SCANDAL HITS A 3.0 I’LL MAKE SURE EVERYONE THAT CALLED YOU INSANE REMEMBERS IT.

  • Mon

    I loved last night’s Person of Interest. It’s easily the best of the series though there has been really good episodes this season tackling the machine backstory. Sarah Shahi did great. She seemed effortless on what she did; she’s convincing as a government-hired mercenary/spy. I hope to see her character again on the show. The drop in the ratings might be attributed to American Idol being on at 9pm.

    Yikes at Zero Hour.

    NBC looks even more disastrous without The Office.

    @Skylar James

    Reconfirming a mistake you made just makes you look worse. Two times Skylar James claims I can’t read in one day.

  • Skylar James

    @Peter Ivanov: I do remember you bashing the show and the people who liked it, we’re not having memory issues. And you did it in a weekly basis

    In case anyone is wondering why Univision did so well last night, it was the 25th anniversary of its music awards show Premio lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina, which featured quite possibly the greatest red carpet photo of all time.

    I guess those who said last week with TVD was Valentine’s based were right. Last week being 1.0. The week before was 1.1. A 1.1-1.3 jump is more believable, especially since it sounds like a lot happened in last night’s episode.

    I still wonder what happened with Arrow – perhaps the night (people seemed to enjoy the episode, on here anyway), and Colton Haynes is popular with Teen Wolf fans.

    BATB, they lost over half their 18-49 lead-in? Not great.

  • Paul

    Scandal continues to drop? It’s series high is a 2.8 and it received a 2.7. Some of you people are crazy. Who roots AGAINST shows? I just like my shows and have no interest in the others but I do not root AGAINST them.

  • THE OLD MAN

    Max–I don’t see why you should leave. You commented on AHS & I never took offense–it’s your opinion & you have every right to voice one!

    I commend you for stirring things up & don’t know if I can take the “quiet” you’ll leave behind. Take care!

  • Justin121

    @Dat,

    You’ll never know.

    XOXO

  • Ali

    I just want this “Scandal phenomenon” explained. How can a show that used to get 1.6 – 1.9 consistently jump by almost a ratings point and stay there….It’s baffling!

  • BigBrotherFan

    I hate ABC so much. Bunch of MORONS. If they gave THE BEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW NASHVILLE half the promo’s that Scandal or the insanely CAMPY REVENGE get that show would knock it out of the park. It would be getting 2′s all the time. It attracts young rich viewers like me (20′S). I just wish ABC would look at the great model they used for SCANDAL and give it to NASHVILLE. It works.

    Instead the aired a stupid OSCAR special on Wednesday. agh.

    GREAT FOR SCANDAL. I really enjoy this show. AS I ENJOY SCANDAL more..I am becoming less interested in THE CURRENT JOKE THAT IS REVENGE. POOR AMANDA. :( SHOULD OF BEEN AIDEN.

    COMMUNITY NEEDS TO BE CANCELED. GOOD GOD! It’s hurting PARKS AND REC. Unreal. 1600 PENN IS DOING GREAT FOR CW STANDARDS. WHAT A STEAMING PILE OF CRAP SHOW. Please cancel NBC or it will def hurt your STUPID HANNIBAL WITH THAT UGLY ENGLISH ACTOR That FYI is badly miscast because he has never been able to connect with American audiences. Stupid pick up. NBC fails as a network. 0.9 SMASH. 0.9 NEW NORMAL. HOW BAD ARE THEY GONNA LET THINGS GET?
    At this rate GWK has a fighting chance, thats good, I guess. JESSE BRATFORD is a great actor and casted well here.

    ZERO HOUR…WHAT A JOKE! I HOPE THEY KNOW IT’S HURTING GREYS. CANCEL. THANKS. ANTHONY EDWARDS IS ANNOYING LOOKING.

    ELEMENTRY IS GONNA BE A 1 SEASON + 13 EPIOSDE 2ND SEASON SHOW FOLLOWED BY CANCELLATION. STUPID STUPID SHOW. NEEDS TO BE CANCELED. CBS IS SAVING FACE THOUGH SO ITS COMING BACK.SADLY.

  • Skylar James

    @tv_viewer: well you can search for a post of mine where I say “Grey’s beats POI in the 34-49 range”, and you wont find it. So stop putting words in my mouth, or in this case, in my posts.
