CSI: NY, a drama which is on the bubble for renewal, airs its season finale tonight.  The episode's ratings could seal its fate.  On February 15, it earned a low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. But on February 8 it matched its season high with a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Tonight, it will benefit from the return of Undercover Boss as its lead-in, after two weeks of following the low rated The Job.  So how do you think it will fare? And will it be back next year? Make your predictions.

I’m going to be uncharacteristically optimistic and say a 1.6 and renewal.

  • Ben

    1.2 and cancellation

CBS needs to move out of its Friday night time slot. Put it on Sundays in CSI: Miami’s old slot. Or, put the 2 CSI’s together like they do NCIS.

I’m not one to put a whole lot of stock in a show’s lead-in, so I’ll attribute any gains to the fact that it’s the season/series finale. I have no state in the show’s renewal one way or the other.

1.6-1.5, cancelled along with The bad wife and Vegas..

  • Shepherd

I guessed 1.5 and canceled. Why not?

  • Anon

1.4 and stick a fork in it.

  • Shepherd

*stake*. lol Fridays will get’cha sometimes.

1.2 and cancelled, I believe they are going to give Vegas a shot…why not they did with Unforgettable.

  • gerry

    1.4 and series finale

  • Holly

    @Josh,

Whether or not CSI: NY is canceled with have no bearing on Vegas.

  • Dan

I’m going for a 1.4 and cancelled. Can’t see much hope for renewal as this season is shorter and they haven’t pulled in any decent enough numbers of late. The only thing that might bring it back is if CBS want a nice season 10, but…not sure how important that would be for them tbh. I would cancel and bring CSI to friday next season and try new blood in it’s current place.

i like this show Gary Sinnesse is one of the best actors,i like the cast. Get rid of Undercover Boss and the stupied comedies.I also like Blue Bloods and their cast is great

1.5 and a season finale. It would be overkill to renew UB for 22 episodes next season and no other show is a candidate to take (again) the Friday 8pm spot. Maybe H50 but I think it will likely take 9pm.

I predict a 1.5 for what sadly will likely be the series finale. I doubt they’ll have a cliffhanger but will likely have some loose ends they simply cant tie up in 1 episode. Look for CSI to takeover this timeslot in the fall.

1.5 and its not tonight’s ratings that will seal the shows fate, the show is done after escaping cancellation the previous two seasons RIP CSI NY September 22, 2004 – February 22, 2013

A 1.5 and one more [final] season.

  • Bobby

I think it depends on how ‘Golden Boy’ does. Since that’s another cop show too. If that does well, then CSINY will definitely be cancelled, and maybe TGW too. But if it totally flops, CSI might have a chance. It really shouldn’t flop though considering that on CBS EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK there’s an ad for it.

The job tanked. Made in Jersey tanked. NY is still doing fine for a friday.

The show is not going anywhere.

1.6 and Renewed. The Good Flop needs to go.
