CSI: NY, a drama which is on the bubble for renewal, airs its season finale tonight.  The episode's ratings could seal its fate.  On February 15, it earned a low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. But on February 8 it matched its season high with a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Tonight, it will benefit from the return of Undercover Boss as its lead-in, after two weeks of following the low rated The Job.  So how do you think it will fare? And will it be back next year? Make your predictions.

    Please CANCEL CSI NY and Vegas !!!

    At this point, I think it’ll be renewed, but with another truncated season of 18 or fewer episodes.

    If Golden Boy does well in the slot, however, I’ll change my tune.

    @toadytoady – That’s not really an indication. It could mean that the show is ending, or it could mean a host of other things: his character dies/leaves, the show needs to cut cast members because of budget cuts (a la Southland), etc.

    its in its 9th season. bye bye.
    then it will go from the CSI network to the NCIS network and have all three on.

    Yeah, looks like Hill Harper is voting with his feet.

    CSI – Vegas isn’t going to Friday yet. It has been top 10 PM show for CBS in a competive slot. Golden Boy will likely stay on Tuesday, and Vegas move to Friday for rest of season. NY is worth renewing for syndication purposes and to keep propping up BB. CBS gave up extra year of Miami sydication as part of sydication deal for the likes of MIJ, Vegas and TGW. Hope they learn from that mistake.

    I’m optimistic that CSI:NY will get some really decent ratings tonight for a Friday night show, considering this is technically the season finale and not the series finale, but I still expect this show to be canceled. Maybe not tomorrow or even next week but definitely by the time they announce fall shows in May. It’s too expensive for CBS to keep both CSI shows on the air, and they could move either H5O or The Mentalist in that spot to replace it.

    I love CSI:NY for the reason that it is good for LA BG community. Two week to three week doublings and I am a “NY” type so I have worked the show a few times. So I hope for a 1.5+ tonight and one more renewal (two more is asking for too much at this point)…Down with all the made-in NY shows though like Golden Boy…Blue Blood…SUV (even though I like watching some of them)…etc. :/

    @DenverDead – Your comment makes no sense. Just because Vegas won its timeslot doesn’t mean it had good ratings; it doesn’t. And that Tuesday 10pm slot is far from competitive. But then you said “Vegas isn’t going to Friday yet” and defended why it would be on Tuesday, but then you said you think it will move to Friday. Which is it? And we don’t know the dealings with syndication as it pertained to CSI: Miami; obviously it made more financial sense for them to cancel it than renew it, so what “mistake” did they make?

    It dont deserve to be cancelled. Lol doing better than the good wife on a friday. TGW on Friday be below a 1.0

  • Bitter Ringer Fan

    at this point i think The Mentalist is in a slightly safer position than CSI:NY and TGW. 1.4 and cancelled.

    @Mon – Or he’s leaving because he knows that the show is ending and he wants to secure a job for next season.

    The show was BARELY renewed in May 2011 and May 2012, with CSI Miami axed over it last May, and CMSB cancelled in May 2011. CSI NY is the veteran/spinoff to end this year.

    Had “CSI: New York” been on a network other than CBS, it would be back in the Fall.

    But being on CBS, the show may well get axed simply because there are other popular shows and very promising pilots on the Eye Network’s plate.

    Could another network pick-up “CSI: New York” next season??

  • BigBrotherFan

    1.5 AND CANCELED. CSI NY

    The Good Wife haters-AGH.

    The Good Wife is ONE OF THE BEST TV SHOWS on the air right now. Period.

  • Holly

    @Joseph,

    Could another network pick-up “CSI: New York” next season??

    No.

  • Holly

    @r0ckmypants,

    I think Denver Dean was talking about the original CSI but used a hyphen instead of a colon (CSI – Vegas).

  • jlopie1

    1.5-1.6 and cancelled, but CBS won’t tell us that until May – kind of like what they did last year with CSI: Miami. There will be a slight ratings bump because of the hearsay that it’s possibly the series finale tonight, but that won’t make a spot of difference to the Network.

  • Pavelsauce

    I voted 1.5 and canceled.

  • Mike

    I believe they give it a summer slot with unforgettable

  • DennisR

    Season finale 1.5
