Definitions:

DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data LiveLive+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.

Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.

Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate

Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

  • Sarah

    @Bill/Robert

    Bones?

  • simy

    good news for revenge

  • Danak

    Why doesn’t the list just include every show that had new episodes?

  • Ram510

    Seeing how Nashville has shot up to one of the top % DVR shows I think this proves that it’s just in a busy time slot, but people actually want to watch it. I think if it can hold through the spring it’ll get a second season. Plus they have those iTunes sales on its side.

    I’m surprised Scandal hasn’t gained more in DVR numbers. It’s been at a 3.8 for weeks

  • Skylar James

    nice to see Grey’s have such a great increase

  • DougF

    @Danak

    Because it only lists the top 25

  • Beth

    Anyone know the numbers for Bones?

  • SueK

    @Beth@Sarah
    Bones is on the 3rd chart #23.

  • Beth

    @SueK

    Yay for Smash doing so well here. Why can´t people just watch the show live? There is obviously an audience for it.

  • RandyL

    Seriously people, Max is gone and never coming back. Get over it.

  • Elle

    Wow, only 3 of the CW shows are on that one list. Coincidence that those are the ones already renewed…probably not.
