@StanT “So, a 1/2 tv show that makes fun of liberals is almost getting as many viewers in both total and the demo, as ABC, CBS, and NBC…and LMS is on at 8:00PM on Friday…so most young people are out on dates, or occupying some park somewhere…”

-What on earth are you talking about? Have some more LSD or something…lol.

Obama worked for government his whole life Community Organizer, State Senate, United States Senate, President.

That bone head never even ran a hot dog stand!

He has the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media to carry his water but that 40% may catch on to his act when the bankrupt government checks stop coming. In about 2 years.

The other 15 to 20% of his support are hopeless liberals. They would back him if there was a video of him saying what he really thinks of this country.

  • usa8888

This just in: Robin Kelly, the anti-NRA candidate running in the Chicago race, has beated the NRA candidate by a huge margin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • usa8888

@SP “The other 15 to 20% of his support are hopeless liberals. They would back him if there was a video of him saying what he really thinks of this country.”

It doesn’t matter, the majority of Americans see the Democrats as the lesser of two evils…that’s how far right the GOP has gone in the past 6 years.

SPEAK OUT: Which President Added the Most to Federal Deficit?

With federal “sequester” budget cuts scheduled to take effect on Friday, March 1, it again seems time to take another look at one aspect of federal spending.

The massive debt run up by the U.S. government is again in the spotlight, due to its longstanding habit of deficit spending. Of course, the debt figure is constantly increasing, but stands at about $16.5 trillion — yes, trillion. That averages to about $52.5 thousand per U.S. citizen, according to usdebtclock.org.

Now, which U.S. president has added the most to that figure?

The answer? George W. Bush — but just barely. In Bush’s two terms (2001-2008), the deficit increased by $4.8 trillion, according to theallegiant.com.

So far in in Barack Obama’s first term, the deficit increased by $4.7 trillion.

And the same publication notes that the federal deficit doubled during Ronald Reagan’s term (1980-88).

Also, Bill Clinton had operating surpluses in his two terms (1993-2001). The first term: $496 billion. The second term: $559 billion.

On Friday, March 1, the federal “sequester” is scheduled to take effect.

Gee… I’ll try to post something about the ratings…not politics.

Can’t recall seeing The Five over 2 million before. Interesting to see a show rate that high when it airs that early.

  • Cathy

This just in, Lobbying groups have to much influence in the government, unless they are lobbying groups that support a liberal belief, then they are fine.

  • lbsles

For those that do not know: Gun control only works with law-abiding citizens.

I own a small business. Come out of your ivory tower and see what is really going on. Prices on everything are going through the roof. You need to get out in the real world. Small businesses are being destroyed by your dear leader. Gas prices are 4 dollars a gallon in February! Please pal, put a sock in it! Liberalism is destroying the economic health of this country. Leave the college and go out in the real world. I’m begging you!

Print more money, you will see, that will make everything better.

  • usa8888

ibsles–we already presented the facts—Obama has grown the spending by only .6%. And the deficit has DECREASED considerably under Obama. Bush gave him a huge amount of debt and with no Wall Street regs, the fraud in banking and real estate nearly brought doen the country.

  • usa8888

Papa–let’s face it–you own a pizza joint….end of story. And, if you can’t see that BIG OIL is closing refineries to drive up prices, how can you turn a profit on pizza…???

  • lbsles

Here’s a pretty important fact that virtually everyone in Washington seems oblivious to: The federal deficit has never fallen as fast as it’s falling now without a coincident recession.

To be specific, CBO expects the deficit to shrink from 8.7% of GDP in fiscal 2011 to 5.3% in fiscal 2013 if the sequester takes effect and to 5.5% if it doesn’t. Either way, the two-year deficit reduction — equal to 3.4% of the economy if automatic budget cuts are triggered and 3.2% if not — would stand far above any other fiscal tightening since World War II.

Until the aftermath of the Great Recession, there were only three such periods in which the deficit shrank by a cumulative 2% of GDP or more. The 1960-61 and 1969-70 episodes both helped bring about a recession.
