Cop procedural Golden Boy is premiering tonight on CBS after NCIS: Los Angeles. This drama, which centers around the youngest police commissioner in New York City has received some decidedly mixed reviews thus far, but since this type of program is definitely in CBS' wheelhouse, viewers may still show up to check it out. So what do you think? Predict the ratings below for the Golden Boy premiere and tell us why in the comments!

Anyone remember NYC22? Last Season’s Mid-Season Show from CBS

Well this time next year we’ll be asking, does anyone remember Golden Boy…

  • CBSviewer

    2.0 and 10 million.

This is a difficult prediction for me. I’m not a fan of procedural dramas, so I don’t really watch too much CBS and I haven’t really heard that much about the show. There’s no question in my mind that it will win its time slot, but considering the competition this is akin to calling water wet.

I say it more than triples Smash’s demo, and more than doubles BOP’s demo. It could easily do this with a 2.2-2.3, which isn’t that great, but still moderately successful. If it can pull 2.5+, I think CBS will be very happy considering the season and how low CBS’s Monday ratings were.

I’m still only guessing 2.1, I think Vegas may have ‘poisoned’ that time-slot a bit for the rest of the season.

I’m hoping for the best(2.1-2.6), but expecting the worse(1.5-1.8).

  • Alan

I think it will do good, not excellent but a strong premiere considering how low are Smash and Body of Proof.

  • DW

its been advertised pretty good. looks entertaining. i’m giving it a shot. 2.5

  • SS

If Justified weren’t on at the same time, I would probably check it out, but Justified is a must see for me this time of year.

No show at 10pm on Tuesday seems to ever do very well. They should have just left TGW there, nothing has really done better than it did. Hope it bombs, I would like to see BOP hang around.

  • John A

    2.3 then 1.2-1.5 on fridays

  • Wright

3.2 just because I like Theo James from Bedlam and the last Underworld movie.

  • JustMe

Another DOA show. You can easily see this in the promos. This show is a fail from jump

  • Hubert R. Wentland

it might perform really bad tonight, like below Vegas’ premiere, but i think it will be a decent Friday player.

  • Stuart Pitt

I think it will get a 2.3. I was interested in this show when announced, but the previews gave me the impression it isn’t well written. Unless it is highly entertaining, this show isn’t lasting very long.

  • Tommy

This looks crap. I will be watching Body of Proof Abducted Part 2 on ABC tonight. :)

CBS is really promoting it so I will say 3.1 for the premiere and then it will go down every week until it reaches a 2.3 and then it will be steady.

Revising my prediction and it will level off at 1.8 and 2.7 for it premiere considering its competition. I am hoping SMASH will deliver better numbers than Golden Boy.

  • JED

Red meat for the bear. It’s dead on arrival.

CBS already has Tom Selleck as the NYC police commisioner, on Friday nights. Seems like networks could find something other than cop shows.
