    Yes I have applied :-)

It’s a date! Millionaire Dennis Tito to send couple on manned Mars mission on Jan. 5, 2018 trip around the Red Planet. (Inspiration Mars Foundation)

A maverick millionaire obsessed with space travel vowed to send a manned mission to Mars, even announcing the date the rocket carrying one man and one woman would set off for the Red Planet: Jan. 5, 2018.

On that date, a preferably married couple yet to be chosen will enter a tiny space capsule for the longest date in history — rocketing into the heavens and the record books, promised Dennis Tito, the brains behind The Inspiration Mars Foundation and the American businessman who paid about $20 million to visit the International Space Station in 2001 aboard a Russian spacecraft.

    Who will the couple be?
“This is humanity’s first flight out to Mars, and humanity should be represented by both genders,” Dennis Tito said.

“We hope that we can find a married couple. When you’re out that far and the Earth is a tiny blue pinpoint, you’re going to need someone you can hug. What better solution to the psychological problems you’re going to encounter with that isolation?”

After a trip of about 140 million miles, the brave couple will be the first humans ever to peer out a window at Mars — but not set foot there.

    Morning All

Found an interesting read this AM.

Of course it is about a couple of dumbocrats in congress.

House Dems push federal grants to help states retrieve guns from criminals

A pair of House Democrats introduced legislation Wednesday aimed at removing guns from criminals and others barred from owning them.

Offered by Reps. Mike Thompson (Calif.) and Jackie Speier (Calif.), the proposal would provide federal grant money to states that launch programs to remove guns from those who buy them legally but later forfeit their ownership rights by either committing a crime or being deemed severely mentally ill.

The lawmakers said the bill will bolster public safety without trampling on constitutional freedoms.

“No matter which side of this debate you are on, no one wants criminals or people with a history of dangerous mental illness to have guns,” Thompson, the chairman of a new Democratic task force formed to fight gun violence, said in a statement. “This bill does nothing to limit a law abiding citizen’s Second Amendment rights. It simply gives states an incentive to develop successful programs that will keep guns out of the hands of people we all agree shouldn’t have them.”

    * Children’s TV host passes out while teaching kids about … oxygen [VIDEO]
If this wasn’t what it was, it would have been funny, eh..sorry I did giggle :-)

Now the race for the most stupid remarks begins

Who will win: Hagel, Kerry or Biden?

Pentagon Clarifies Hagel’s Position on U.S.-India Relations
Chuck Hagel’s 2011 gaffe sparks international incident
The Pentagon was forced to clarify the views of the new defense secretary on the United States-India relationship after a Free Beacon report detailing controversial 2011 remarks by Chuck Hagel sparked an international protest.

“India has over the years financed problems for Pakistan” in Afghanistan, Hagel said during a 2011 address on Afghanistan at Oklahoma’s Cameron University.

The remarks caused an uproar in New Delhi where government officials and numerous political observers panned Hagel’s comments.

Pentagon spokesperson George Little told the Free Beacon late Wednesday that Hagel will work to strengthen ties to India.

@coffee Steve This just in on WMAL radio in washington DC , Lanny Davis just stated what happen to Mr. Woodard happen to him when writing columns for the washington times. His editor at the time got a call from the white house that if these negative columns kept coming that their access to the white house/press core could be in trouble. According to Lanny Davis this happen awhile ago, but the wording of the threat was the same and beleives it the same white House offical. Lanny Davis a big Obama supportor, has a disagreement on the debt problem with the white house. I hope this wakes the media up and they start to do their job. One can only hope.

Spending cuts fact or fiction: The “half-truths” about tomorrow’s budget cuts

With looming across-the-board budget cuts set to take effect tomorrow if Congress and the White House fail to reach a deal, there have been a lot of “apocalyptic” warnings coming from Washington. While the significance of the cuts should not be “belittled,” fact-checker Bill Adair tells Top Line the truth has been twisted and exaggerated in this ongoing political drama.

Perhaps the most alarming warning about tomorrow’s cuts, known as “the sequester,” has come from President Obama, who has said that “federal prosecutors will have to close cases and let criminals go.” Adair says that while the Justice Department will indeed have to cut back on prosecutions, dangerous criminals are not going to be wandering the streets starting tomorrow.

4th quarter GDP revised from -.1% to +.1%. Wow the economy is really humming now! (sarcasm intended)

I hope this wakes the media up and they start to do their job. One can only hope.

I hope so, but with Soros (and Others) buying Media It may be too late. I’d like to know why this hasn’t become a major scandle. When Nixon had a media blacklist they buried him with it. It’s an abuse of power.

Hey Coffee Dude! Yu got in here late last night and you left cookie crumbs all over, coffee rings on the table,

Morning Ratman, That was LBSLES that left the cookie crumbs I’m a pre-diabetic :-) I will take the blame for the coffee rings though LOL

*Obama gives GOP leaders a “meeting” — for 7 minutes…

My question is why did the GOP accept? he is never going to listen to them, ala the agreemant they had a couple of years ago, and them Pres. Obama changed the agreement at the last second and walked out.

He (Obama) put the cuts in place, let him fix it.

*’GROWTH': 0.1%… What a joke, this economy is in the longest low point in the history of this country, 4 years of this. Un-employment still around 9% after 4 full years. Go ahead some, defend him and ignore the fact notyhing is working nor the fact the entire economy is being ryun on fake money from the fed.

  • Coffee Steve

And them was good, but made me hungry

Psssttt.. Don’t tell him but I did have some sugar-free ones :-)

    And the butt print?????????????????????????????

  • d.d.

    Good morning all.

    @Mickey O
Good morning Now the Whitehouse starting to sound like the Nixon Admin. Is an IRS audit in Bob Woodards furture ?

Lanny Davis just stated what happen to Mr. Woodard happen to him when writing columns for the washington times.

Remember when President Obama’s campaign team released a Nixonian enemies list of Republican donors on their “Truth Team” website. This wasn’t about transparency, but intimidation.

After this list was released, a political opposition researcher was found to be digging through divorce records of one of the men named, Frank VanderSloot. The public thought this went too far ,so it was tapped down.

I think back to when the Obama Administration tampered with Ronald Reagan’s official Presidential biography regarding taxes… then, had to delete. First of all, they lack the authority to tamper with it . They got caught , & , fact checkers , including the Wash Po. said the facts didn’t support their allegation.

This is not the first time the Obama White House has engaged in this behavior. In March 2009, they were caught editing President Bush’s biography to soften his listed accomplishments. They quickly reversed course. In the Bush Administration, biographies were directly supplied by the White House Historical Association without addendums or qualifiers.

If Obama had the balls to do this to 2 U.S, former Presidents, you can be sure ,he wouldn’t think twice to try to crush any opposition by smears or outright lies.

The White House didn’t make the man . Chicago style politics still dominates. The W.H. just got caught using spambots on Twitter this week.

Did I hear my name?

@Coffee Steve This could be the start of something big, just saw drudge he has a picture of Nixon and Obama side by side point their fingers. I live near the belly of the beast called DC and locally the mention of Nixon like has been mention a few times. Can only hope a good sign would be what happens today at Jay Carney press confernece.

I posted a post about TheBlazeTV and DirecTV last night for you, also

    @d.d & MickeyO

I will never forget an interview with Robert Gibbs in 2007 where he stated in response to the media’s handling of the race against Hillary, he and I quote “We Own The Press” I turned to the MCO at a station and ask him to rewind that and yep, he said that. That should have been an omen but it never gained traction.

  • Coffee Steve

Yep, you heard it, now close your curtins rats is running around the house nakie

I hope this is getting started, been going on for way to long.

I am thinking Obama may end up wishing he had not won the election.
At least he had something for his Legacy.
I think this term will uncover the truth about everything (Bob Woodward)
I feel hopeful again. His whole presidency has been about his Legacy.
