    “whats the point of repeating BaTB its already dead too. they should’ve repeated arrow or TVD”

    They already repeated too many episodes of Arrow twice and they need to save repeats for the summer. Same for TVD.

    This is a shock!

    I expected the Cancellation Bear to have whacked “Cult”.

    On the other hand, maybe we need a “T.G.I.F Wolf” to come and move shows into weak Friday-night timeslots.

    @Oliver
    Thanks, that makes sense if the local affiliates are doing well.

    “Really, the CW should just pull it and air ANYTHING in its place!”
    By burning off the episodes rather than pulling it from the schedule, The CW is building trust with fans so they will take a chance on future shows by the respectful way they are handling the current situation. It’s one of the reasons people are willing to take a chance on basic cable shows; you know they will at least air the first season (of 10-13 episodes) in its entirety and will be available on dvd.

    Kalena: You may be correct, but it’s an expensive trust building.

    @kalena henden

    It’s really because they have nothing else to air in its place. Otherwise they would’ve pulled Emily Owens sooner.

    As FOX told Keifer Sitherland when moving Touch to Fridays “At least it is still on the air”… CW probably said something similar about Cult.. or, “Damn! We invested in XX episodes already, we may as well burn them off on Fridays. I mean, Fringe is gone, so maybe we’ll get those crazy Fringe fans!!”

  • CrazedNovelist

    I think Cult belongs on Fridays. It’s not meant for Tuesday. My hope has always been that it’ll follow Nikita on Fridays. If it can manage a .5 or .6 at all during this run, it stays. The CW wants to protect Cult. Perhaps they’re not trying to “burn it off”. It might fill a void left by Supernatural when it got sent to Wednesdays. I think Cult will stay.

  • CrazedNovelist

    Also… Fridays at nine is a better slot than Tuesdays at 9… remember… Ringer… Life Unexpected… Emily Owens M.D…. what show has survived that slot (besides OTH)?

    I don’t see why everyone looks at Cult’s numbers and just say it’s gonna be cancelled, do people not realize that situations will be put into context with those numbers – Cult premiered mid-season during a time where shows are often going in and out of hiatus, where schedules are on and off week after week – I think the CW would realize that at least Cult’s circumstances and not to mention the rather flimsy media campaign and promos would effect its numbers. If I wasn’t actively waiting for the show’s premiere and actually researching the date, I wouldn’t have even realized that Cult had finally premiered – CW brought Cult during an awkward airing time – moving it to Fridays at 9pm is probably a smart move if anything else – just because a show is on Fridays doesn’t mean it’s automatically dead, SPN held out in the Friday slot well enough. Mid-season shows always do get the low numbers, if anything having Cult on Fridays in that time slot will actually allow it to grow.
