I had not read a kind word about American Idol since its return But I decided to watch an On Demand encore replay. OMG It was much worse than I had expected. I guess in order to not be confused by previous judging, this current panel decided that talent was a detriment. Anyone who could sing, play an instrument , or write music HAD TO GO. Thank- you American Idol producers and judges. Now I have literally hours of more free time. There is no way I’m getting caught up in this years competition. ( and thats not an empty promise.
ps thank you for scotty mccreery

Yessss Chicago Fire. So happy it kept the timeslot win, and even adjusted up to a 2.0!

  • Reache

This is the series’ lowest adults 18-49 rating for a Wednesday since July 3, 2003 and its smallest total viewership for a Wednesday telecast since August 14, 2002

Amanda, Do you have specific numbers of 07/03/02 and 08/14/02? I’m really curious.

I don’t think the other post I tried to make in the preliminaries made it through, so I’ll post it here.

I decided to give Chicago Fire a try for the first time last night. I didn’t see the whole episode, but I really like what I’ve seen so far! It’s good that it adjusted up.

  • David

    Nashville :(

  • Pepper

    spn holding steady, great!

  • Michael

Gooooooo Chicago Fire! Best new drama of the season. Can we just renew it now, please?

  • NBC Fan

Aww man! Modern Family didn’t beat Idol. Well, I’m sure it will beat it soon.

  • Dan S

Both CSI & CF adjust up but not Nashville, Bummer. All the same it’ll be back barring a total ratings collapse.

  • Ryan Schwartz

Listen, as fun as we’ve all had for the most part discussing NBC’s scheduling woes, the up and downs and how to fix them, I’m genuinely happy for them that they’ve found stability in CHICAGO FIRE. It fixes one time slot for them, and that’s a great start.

  • Carl

Happy about SPN. Hopefully much of this will hold after the hiatus.

  • Shepherd

Chicago Fire with 125% retention is not bad at all.

It looks like Golden Boy will have to settle for being CBS’s no.2 10pm show this week.

I’m watching last night’s Nashville atm, it doesn’t even deserve the 1.6 that it received.

    @Ryan Schwartz

“I’m genuinely happy for them that they’ve found stability in CHICAGO FIRE. It fixes one time slot for them, and that’s a great start.”

It may have ‘fixed’ one slot for them this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if season two’s average falls to 1.3-1.4% or lower. I wouldn’t say that fixes anything for NBC next year.

  • Michael

    Great rating for Chicago Fire!

  • John A

Funny that everyone wrote of Chicago Fire in the fall and now its one of NBC top performers.

  • Shepherd

I meant to say: “I wouldn’t be surprised if season two’s spring average falls to 1.3-1.4% or lower.

  • jackieO

Arrow is still doing well.Love that show.

i expect another series low for nashville when it returns. even revenge, with all its hype and stuff, tied its series low or returned to a new series low upon return from its big break. hopefully if red widow is DOA and/or highly unimpressive, ABC shifts focus back to nashville because it deserves it. the show is so great right now. it just needs some more viewers. but revenge also had a MUCH better lead-in. ugh. suburgatory and its low 2.0s.

  • Brandy

At least Nashville didn’t down, though it would’ve been nice if it adjusted up.I really hope it comes back next season.

  • Dan

Nice for Chicago Fire and I hope Nashville does better next time.
