@Dahne, Dean and Sam were never secondary in the two other seasons where Cas was a regular, from what I remember. Cas was only in half the episodes per season, and he usually gave them more story. Most of the Cas episodes this season have also been brother-heavy. I’d go as far as to say that filler episodes do far more to take away their roles. They’ve been bystanders in those this season.

Why wasnt SVU adjusted up? It was 1.8 in second half.
CF was 2.0 in first half,1.9 in second half and gets adjusted up.
SVU was 1.5 in first half, 1.8 in second half and still left on 1.6.
    How are these Finals calculated?

So Supernatural has over a million fewer viewers watching it but is only .1 lower than Arrow in the rating. Does that mean many of Arrow’s viewers are 14 year old boys or 50 year old men?

Just to put these into context, Duck Dynasty matched the top two broadcast 10pm shows *combined*.

Idol gets massively spared, without the adjustment it’d have been #3 for the night, now it’s tied #1 with MF and DD. Next week…

NBC has to be really pleased with Chicago Fire. Not only does it beat CSI but it was able to garner 2.0 demo. This is the biggest success story for the network this season. It appears that the show is slowly growing. The network should show another episode after The Voice.

The CSI decline is shocking to me. It was doing really well in the Fall, being amongst the top rated shows at 10pm. So I don’t understand the quick drop off. It should be able to garner at least 2.1 regularly. But it is time for CBS to move the show to Friday where it can thrive for another 2-3 seasons.

    @ Dahne

You seem to have fallen for a misconception thats plaguing the fandom. Castiel has been made a series regular not a star. He will be in 12/23 episodes at most just like back in seasons 5/6. That means he’ll not be in roughly half the season so no Castiel will not become the main.

I wish people would read the language that is used to describe the role instead of jumping to conclusions.

@panda22 Arrow shed some viewers because it was preempted in some markets for basketball. Overall I think it’s doing good and it’s my favorite new show.

A 2.0 would have been great on NBC last year.

This year – at 10 pm, no less – it’s phenomenal.

What NBC show could break the CW, err… I mean the 1.3 barrier?

1- Revoultion, boosted by The Voice

2- The Office, which is ending

3- Grimm, not always, and not a week-night flagship

4- Ancient SVU and P&R, and the best they can do is a 1.7

    5- Parenthood, not a full-season flagship and can rarely hit a 2.0

Chicago Fire is NBC’s #1 hit series.

Just like The Vampire Diaries ratings have been abysmal on their own, but it has always been considered a hit.

    CSI adjusted up :)
Im afraid for Criminal Minds. Last night episode is the one with the less viewers. I think the Show will drop below 10 million viewers.

American Idol lately is so boring….and it reflects on the ratings… The worst top 40 and will be the worst top 20 ever.

I know it’s a bingo square, but ABC really have done a horrible job with scheduling Nashville. Who has even known when a new episode would be on recently? The show has really been getting into its stride, but the crappy scheduling has robbed it of all momentum.

  • erwanfromfrance

    I hope tonight’s American Idol would score a 4,5% without any CBS,CW,ABC,NBC

  • Ted Craig

There are many reasons why Suburgatory’s numbers are down (time slot, AI) and I’m sure it will be renewed, but I wonder how ABC execs view it today. While outside forces have worked against it, some of this is self-inflicted. I have the feeling they hoped it could become an anchor for another night.

    Good for CW!

NBC now have two solid ten pm dramas in Revolution and Chicago Fire. I think next year they need to move both to nine pm to start trying to fix the earlier evening slots. Chicago Fire consistently outperforms the ageing SVU and could take it’s slot and Revolution should head up a night at eight or nine while the post Voice slot is used to launch a new drama.

  • Dan

Nashville does extremely well with 18-34, its always number 1 for the night. I still think it will get a second season.

THANK GOD NASHVLLE WAS NOT adjusted down!

  • BigFlop

Well, as I wrote three weeks ago, Scandal or Castle were going to beat Modern Family in viewers soon.

    Castle — 10.77
    MF —- 10.53

(before you tell me anything, read it again I’m talking about viewers, not demo)

I think CBS needs to REthink all this SURVIVOR stunt casting crap. I, FOR ONE, tuned out when they casted RUSSEL and BOSTON ROB for the 100th time. Sure, they where both like-able Villians in their first seasons, even perhaps their second but THIRD..FOURTH..Gosh they became ANNOYING.

I think fans want to see a CLEAN season.. I know they need to think of new ways to make the show appealing THIS IS NOT IT.

LIKE IT OR NOT I do think NBC at this point will pick WHITNEY up for another season. I happen to like the show. WHITNEY CUMMINGS is one of the hottest comedians right now but I think NBC holds her back with material and CBS lets her do HER THING with 2BROKEGIRLS. Nontheless, given THE NEW FLOP, 1600 FLOP, COMMUNIFLOP, Guys with FLOP, etc. etc. They will keep GO ON PARKS AND WHITNEY third slot..who knows?

I watch CHICAGO FIRE and enjoy it but PEOPLE.. HELLO????? This should be PVR’D no watched LIVE. The acting, writing and all around production is NOWHERE NEAR the standards of NASHVILLE. What the heck is up with Neilsen families? Good for NBC, though. THEY NEED THIS, Don’t get so DRAMATIC though people…It’s performing WELL but it sure as heck ain’t “ON FIRE” LMAO! LADY GAGA’S BOYFRIEND (TRAUMA DUDE) IS GREAT Character “Kelley”? The rest of the cast is good but JESSE SPENCER still stands out as WOODEN and ONE NOTE. Kill him off in the season finale please.
