@Mickey That was a great description of where I am with the show. Unlike you I do dislike how Castiel affects the dynamic between Sam and Dean, so his return would be problematic at any time. With the way Carver has trashed the boys’ relationship, Castiel as a regular looks to be even more problematic. I’m still holding on by my fingernails to the show, but I don’t know if I can take the Cas the Angel and his human friends show. And you are right, all the unfriending, and unfollowing and removing bookmarks will be a sad, painful and time consuming part of finally letting go.

@Carl and @Alejandro When Cas enters the show, Sam’s POV drops to nil and he becomes extremely attractive wallpaper. Considering how much Carver refused to deal with Sam’s POV in the first half of the season, I truly DREAD what will happen when Castiel comes back and we have to be made to UNDERSTAND him versus Sam or Dean.

@Percysowner Actually no it doesn’t for instance Hunteri Heroici which had a huge focus on Castiel also gave us a number of new details about Sam and his year while Dean was in purgatory.

I really dont get this defensiveness if most shows can have an ensemble of six or more main characters who get good screen. Somehow I think Supernatural can give good screentime to two leads and a series regular who will only be in half the episodes of the season

Again I wish people would properly read the job description Castiel is going to be a “series regular” which means he will likely only be in half the episodes of the season he has not been made a “star” so no it will not be the angel and his human friends show.

Whoa, all of a sudden NBC has another 2.x show! Let’s celebrate. :-)

    Great job Chicago Fire!!

@Percysowner, I think Sam had quite a bit of personality in season 6. In season 6 the soulless Sam story was so enjoyable for Jared he’s said he wants that version of the character back. In season 5, Sam was the heart of the show, saving the world through his pure heart. I think Sam’s personality void is mostly down to the show not writing for him when he’s not sick and suffering – that’s all they gave him last season, when Cas was barely around, and that’s back where they are this season, when Cas is barely around. Cas has always given Dean and Sam story. He’s the reason they began working together again this season.

NBC should start marketing CHicago Fire as a great drama and not as a bunch of hot people. I was so turned off last fall by the marketing. But now that I’ve given it a shot its way closer to ER than Third Watch.

  • NBC is awesome

NBC needs to capitalize on the success of Chicago Fire. I suggest moving it to Tuesday @ 9 next fall after the voice.
