   Apparently, the Rat has not yet figured out what right wing GOP accomplishments have occurred in the past 4 years…..what would you call a person who is right wing but can’t site any accomplsihments of his own party? You decide, Fox Fake News will distort…………..

   This just in for Fox Fake News: The NRA is again trying to suppress research on gun violence in an effort to cover up problems with guns. It is hiring ex-congressmen as lobbyists to promulgate the absurd NRA agenda with which even most NRA members disagree. Of course, research on gun violence would be helpful in law making but the NRA (extremist La Pierre) wants to suppress any and all research because he feels it may enlighten the public and work at odds with his warped agenda. La Pierre continues to try to put as much blood money in his pockets as possible.

   First Lady claims her program is the reason for decline in Childhood obesity. Problem is stats pre-date start of program. Check out story. White House Stats on Childhood Obesity Decline Pre-Date ‘Let’s Move’

   The Huffingpost even shows that the data was collected before the start of the First Lady’s program.

   The federal government can really help the obesity issue by making (letting) the states limit the types of food that can be bought with food stamps. WIC does this. But because WIC limits what type of food (low sugar good for you) few people use the program.
   I pay cash for my gas to save money,frequently I see mothers and their children walk pass the apples, oranges and bananas at the front of the store, skip the low calorie juice and skim milk, select the soda and candy and then use food stamps to pay.
   Stores carry the items that are demanded by their customers. If there are limited “good food” in poor areas it is because they are not in demand.

   What? Which countries are you talking about? Living in the metro Detroit area with Windsor right across the river, I can tell you, your statement is false. I know many Canadians everyone of them that work for American companies pay their monthly co-pays and take the American insurance. They come to the States to have their children and to take care of many problems. They use the Canadian System only for wellness check ups.
   It takes up to six months to get an MRI in Canada.

   I had a miscarriage while vacationing in Toronto in 1994. Toronto is the largest city in Canada. I want to the ER in their largest hospital at 3pm on a Wednesday and was told, I would have to come back for an ultra-sound the next day because they only did ultrasounds from 8am – 2pm. (My Dr in the U.S. had one in his office, if I would have be at home. I could have had one.)
   There is a lot more to the story. But I will make it short and say, dealing with Nationalized health care is a nightmare. My OB/GYN spent over ten hours talking to the Canadian doctors trying to get my medical needs addressed. The Canadian system refused to gave my a Rhogam shot even when we offered to give them the $100 that the shot cost.

    @usa8888 Congrats Michelle Obama on your child obesity program.

    In remarks at an elementary school near Jackson, Mrs. Obama cited new research showing that childhood obesity rates among elementary school pupils in the state had declined by more than 13 percent between 2005 and 2011.

    WHAT !! OH MY Bad:( she wasn’t there in 2005 so I change my congrats to Michelle Obama and Laura Bush

    @dreamer not laying blame this in response to usa8888 giving cresdit for reduction to obesity to Michelle Obama when they are using figures from 2005-2011. Just trying to give the proper credit So Congrats to Michelle Obama or someone in the Bush admin. Reducing Childhood obesity is a good thing just trying to give the proper credit.

    Obama’s approval rating dropped to 47 percent in a Gallup poll on Friday, down from 51 percent in the previous three-day period measured.

    Twenty-eight percent of Americans blame Republicans for the lack of a deal to halt sequestration, while 22 percent hold either Obama or the Democrats in Congress responsible, according to the Reuters/Ipsos poll. Thirty-seven percent blame them all.
