Ibsles forgot to mention that the approval of the GOP and its members is less than half of Obama’s approval rate..

  • d.d.

@ Cathy Huff Post story… Most people are blaming the GOP for the loop hole and all the problems with Obamacare.

    Cathy,

I like comments as much as articles. I would expect nothing different than a Left blog having primarily Left leaning posts …. NPR can be brutal , but, the same is true of Right blogs having mainly Right leaning posts.

The irony with the Huff.Po’s comments is the Republicans had nothing to do with Obamacare .

“Most of the faults with the “Obamacare” will have been of Republican Creation.” uh… no .

I bet our Liberal friends don’t have the foggiest idea on the starting point of this boondoggle law. The bill arose out of Democrat Max Baucus’s committee., Baucus ‘s chief health counsel was Liz Fowler who put the health team together & created the blueprint document for Obamacare. Elizabeth Fowler worked with Mr. Baucus previously and then became a VP with Well Point and then back to Baucus to play the major role in writing Obamacare.

That’s right ,a former VP of the largest health care insurer, helped write the bill that made almost everyone buy health insurance and if they could not afford it a government subsidy would help them buy insurance.

I had to refresh my memory, but , I remembered reading this in the Huff Po. a few years ago.

Obama Hires Former WellPoint Exec to Implement Health Care Law

” Clearly, this is a telling indictment of the health care law itself, strongly suggesting that it was constructed by the Obama administration — as some progressives argued — as a massive taxpayer-financed giveaway to private insurers like WellPoint.” Google for story

Even further back, ( D ) Robert Creamer, husband of Democrat Rep. Jan Schakowsky , wrote a book while in prison, that later served as a blueprint for Democrat proposals for universal health care. Just an interesting factoid: On November 24, 2009, Creamer attended a White House state dinner — along with high-level Obama advisors like Andrew Stern and David Axelrod – despite the fact that ex-convicts are usually barred from such events.

Thirty-four percent (34%) think his policies are too hostile toward big business, but nearly half (46%) believe that to be true of his policies toward small business.

75% Think Health Care Law Likely to Cost More Than Projected

@usa8888 Why the angry ??? I gave Michele Obama credit, But when she uses obesity reduces figures from 2005-2011 you have to give credit for the people from 2005-2010 when Michele Obama wasnt in the whitehouse. So also congrats to Bush Admin for setting the foundation for Michele Obama to build on. :)

Sperling Admits Obama Misled in Debate: The President Did Propose the Sequester

    10:28 AM, Mar 3, 2013 • By DANIEL HALPER

White House economic adviser Gene Sperling admits that, yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama’s plan:

“We put forth the design of” the sequestration, Sperling finally admits after a long back-and-forth

Capitol official: Obama wrong about janitors

The Superintendent of Capitol tried to assure staff on Friday that employees will not receive a cut in pay as a result of sequestration, despite President Barack Obama’s claims to the contrary.

In a news conference earlier in the day, Obama warned that starting on Saturday “the folks who are cleaning the floors at the Capitol” and “the janitors, the security guards” would face a pay cut. But in a letter to supervisors and building staff, obtained by POLITICO, superintendent Carlos Elias said “the current sequestration plan does NOT include ‘Reductions in Force’ or Furloughs. The pay and benefits of employees WILL NOT be impacted as per out current plan

  • Bobbyv

It strikes me as odd that people have painted these cuts as equal to the Apocolypse when they are a small %. I think it says more about the willingness of govt to actually want to cut anything no matter what

  • Cathy

Bobbyv, when looking at the cuts the thing to remember is it’s a small cut for everyone except the US military.
So Obama’s talking about having to release criminals, fire teachers, eliminate fire and police is bull.

However when they talk about military and defenses jobs these will be felt. But Obama shouldn’t be complaining because he proposed a large cut to the military in the first place.

I’m tired of hearing federal employees (non-military) whining about maybe having to take a pay cut. In the last five years most people working in the private sector have taken pay cuts because of the economy. Why shouldn’t government employees have to give back too?

  • Bobbyv

    Cathy,

If they do not want to cut then just say that. I hear US talking about not cutting spending during a recession, but I have the feeling that if the economy gets going then we will not be able to cut because it may cause another recession
