Note coming soon

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I agree with what William said above. What made the original Reba show so funny was the dynamic between Reba & Brock & Barbra Jean. Cash is definitely not as funny as Van . When watching Malibu Country I feel like it has a lot of potential to be a hit but it’s writing is so juvenile it’s painful to watch. I want to support TGIF & Reba so badly but the show right now has no appeal. LMS on the other hand has sharp writing and good, dynamic characters.

Maybe if Malibu Country gets renewed they should re-tool the whole show. Only keep Lily Tomlin but replace the supporting cast. I usually hate recasts but this particular show could benefit from it.

  • BG

I really enjoyed LMS and Malibu Country last night.

@William–The addition of Blake Shelton as Reba’s brother did make the show more interesting. I would love to see him more!!! I hope his schedule allows it.

Carrie Diaries cheaper to make, haha. It’s set in the 80s, they have to pay lots for wardrobe (for actors and extras) as well as cars, props, etc. to make it look somewhat authentic. Beauty and the Beast was sold by CBS for $1.5 million per episode internationally according to the latest figures and they barely have any special effects + they have a smaller cast, definitely cheaper to make. Doesn’t mean either will be renewed, though, but BatB has the upper hand, that’s for sure. Hart of Dixie could go either way, but hope it gets renewed, it’s very funny and well written. Nikita only needs 21 episodes for syndication, unless it falls to 0.1 and stays there, it’s getting renewed. Maybe as mid-season replacement with summer burn off, but then again the CW have no other show to move to Friday in the Fall and will be crazy to launch something new on that night.

  • William

Yeah i loved them singing together!!!!

  • Felipe Nikita

    Nikita is still awesome

  • Brandy

Starship, but CD got 0 5_0.7 for its first 5 episodes with no leadin, while BATB gets only that with a great lead.If BatB is renewed, itll probably go to fri to get 0 2_0 4 like Nikita.
Nikita and CD both barley had a million viewers this week.Wait til next fri when Grimms back and DST starts next weekend.

  • Phil

More people should watch Touch! It’s the best FOX drama to air since 24 in my opinion. :)

The ratings went up this week, keep on discussing and spreading the word of this greatly written show!

  • Lmw931

Yeah I get your point but BATB has TVD as its lead in, the CW’s highest rated show and it still does not do well and if it is renewed it will not be paired with TVD as the originals will. Unless it has a loyal fan base the ratings will drop.

  • Brandy

So, this week 90210 & Cult had below a million viewers, CD and Nikita barley had a million viewrs and next week or week after probably will go below, and Cult,Nikita,& 90210 are in a three way tie for lowest rated cw show in demo at 0.3.I hope Nikitas horrible ratings this season cause CW & WB to reconsider keeping it on the air for syndication as itll be at 0.0_0.1 by May 2014. I mean the only reason GG was renewed with similarly terrible ratings was because they hadnt written season five finale as a series finale and it was cws flagship signature show and already had syndication numbers.90210 was renewed this season because last season, it was only the season four finale through season five getting horrible ratings and theyd already renewed it , plus written and filmed the finaleand cancelled as many shows as they could afford and it was close to 100 for syndication and was also a flagship show ,a hit in seasons 1_3 like GG.Nikita was never a hit,is not a cw signature flagship show and keeping it on with these ratings,no matter for syndication, makes CW a laughing stock. If Mark couldve gotten rid of GG,90210 last season, rather than suffering through another season of terrible ratings ,he wouldve. nikita still 21+11 to get to 100, though 88 is syndicationable but 100 gets a better deal.

Can anyone tell me why there were so many repeats on Thursday night? Why no new POI or VD or Scandal?!

  • rob60990

Good that LMS & Malibu Country rose. I watched Malibu Country and I thought it was horrible. We’re suppose to be laughing that a 16-17 year old boy is still a virgin? Just wow. LMS handled Mandy’s situation WAY better.

“Can anyone tell me why there were so many repeats on Thursday night? Why no new POI or VD or Scandal?!”

    February Sweeps are over.

  • Brandy

It was rumored in back in OCT. that WB made a deal to syndicate third season shows (shows with less than 80+ episodes have been syndicated)& that Mark had been told to clean house, seems hes doing that with Cult unofficially canncelled, 90210 ending this season,EOMD is cancelled as is LA Complex.CD most likley will be axed too.Hard to say about BaTB but I think will be too.I also wouldnt be shocked if they try to syndicate Nikita at three seasons instead of renewing it and watchings ratings fall and fall.

  • Richard Steven Hack

The reason this week’s Nikita ratings are poor is because LAST week’s episode was still just filler. People watching Nikita really don’t want unconnected episodes.

THIS week’s episode was EXCELLENT. Amanda was back, Ari Tasarov was back – and Peter Outerbridge delivered an excellent performance as Ari. The torture scenes were intense, as much so as previous scenes with Amanda torturing Birkhoff and the Nikita being tortured by an old enemy. The terrorism scenes were chilling.

All in all, the best episode yet for this season. Hopefully the remaining episodes will keep up the pace and ratings will return to at least .4-.5.

Of course, once again, the ratings don’t matter. Nikita is a lock for renewal based on syndication revenue for the studio.

  • Josh

Keep crying about Nikita. It’s going to get renewed. BTW what makes the CW a laughing stock is the that they cater to tweens with most of their awful dreck which is exactly why Nikita is the best show the CW has! YOU’RE WELCOME! =)

  • Richard Steven Hack

Brandy: “I hope Nikitas horrible ratings this season cause CW & WB to reconsider keeping it on the air for syndication as itll be at 0.0_0.1 by May 2014.”

I don’t think so. The show has probably hit rock bottom and is living on mostly fans at this point. I think it won’t go lower than .3 even next season (except perhaps if it’s on opposite some major event.) It will probably fluctuate between .3 and .5,

“keeping it on with these ratings,no matter for syndication, makes CW a laughing stock.”

Only among people who follow ratings – which is like .00000001 percent of the viewing population. No one else cares.

“nikita still 21+11 to get to 100, though 88 is syndicationable but 100 gets a better deal.”

This is just dumb. Nikita will get to 88 and that will be it. There’s no reason to go to 100, except for additional episode revenue. They did that for Fringe, they probably won’t do it for Nikita.

Stop with the Nikita bashing. It’s a lock for season four. Deal with it.

  • rob60990

“LMS hits 1.6 on Friday while The Neighbours hit 1.7 on wednesday from a 2.2 lead-in and a 3.8 lead-out…”

Exactly why The Neighbors isn’t as safe as some people claim it is. When it airs after The Middle rerun, it will do worse.

  • Dan

Next season will be the final season for Nikita but syndication has a lot of power to get it a fourth season. Same with Hart of Dixie.

Last Man Standing getting this good of ratings for fridays is likely renewal territory. Even though its basically 50/50 a 1.6 is really good for fridays and it seems like a show ABC may want to keep around.

  • Dan

@Rob60990 – THats what I initally thought about The Neighbors having a Better With You effect or the same effect that any 8:30 comedy has sandwiched between the high rated 8:00 comedy and the higher rated 9:00 one. Look at Partners and Ben & Kate. Neighbors isn’t doing as badly since ABC’s Tuesday shows have done worse.

I agree that Neighbors isnt safe but it isnt in horrible shape, its simply 50/50.

The only thing I can say 100% is that The Middle, Modern Family, and Suburgatory will be on the fall schedule. Last Man Standing, Malibu Country, and The Neighbors are all 50/50.

  • William

@rob60990::: You make a good point about MC and the virgin… This can be made very funny… If they would have used the X-husband! This is why i keep saying the X-husband should be involved more,,,There is more opportunity for good comedy and it’s believable! Imagine the X-husband is a real confident, cool, successful, deep voice, playboy, cowboy type guy. The X is fed up with the way Reba is raising Cash ( he is a virgin and is a knucklehead). The X wants Cash to be cool,,, just like him but Reba can’t stand that!!!

  • boogke

William is either the ex husband or his agent or his mother. Whichever it is, we got your point the first time, give it a rest.
