The Following has become a bona fide hit, especially when judged by the low standard of this season's mid-season shows. Last week it scored a 2.8 among adults 18-49. This week, airing against reruns on CBS and The Bachelor: Women Tell All, it has the potential to rise. Do you think it can defy ratings gravity? Make your prediction.

ONE OF MY TOP SHOWS
…But I’ll be honest in saying last episode was a bit weak and when I think episode 3 aired to a 2.4? or maybe that was episode 4? it was such a horrible episode (THE ONE WITH THE THREESOME) and I fear the not-so-great “THE SEIGE” will hurt this week.
It’s time to wrap up the two gay guys and the baby sitter it’s getting OVER THE TOP NOW.

I disagree I think the trio is integral to the show simply because they’re’ Joe’s main followers or first followers. If anything the introduction of the new members is slightly worst because we haven’t been able as an audience to connect to them.
Anyways I’m betting on a slight up tick, perhaps 2.9-3.0 because there is a lack of any serious competition tonight. Plus there’s been relatively good word of mouth with this show.
Compared to every other mid season show that has premiered so far(Zero Hour..Golden Boy..Red Widow..Deception) The Following really is a huge hit that Fox so desperately needed. I’d be shocked if it doesn’t get renewed for another season.
btw..does anybody know how many episodes The Following has this season? Is it 15?
@Jared, Yes it is 15 episodes.
I’m thinking another 2.8
i think it will tick up a little if not, at least maintain it’s numbers of last week.
Hopefully, it’ll get close to a 3.0.
I wish we had week 22′s L+7 numbers so we’d know whether the last jump in ratings was at the expense of TF’s DVR numbers (more people happening to watch live), or whether people did come back to the show after leaving for a week.
Total guess, but I say it doesn’t rise. Maybe it holds steady at 2.8, or maybe it falls a little to 2.6-2.7.
Under 2.5.

Of course im not a medium, but i would say that it will premiere with awful 0.7, even worse than Do No Harm and will be pulled from schedule immediately. Why? There was no promotion whatsoever (and i watch FOX all the time), reviewers are really bad.
Hard to tell where this show is going ratings-wise (no doubt why there’s a poll every week!) but the main competition for it is probably the comedy block and that’s in reruns.
2.9.
The promos seem like this episode will be predictable. A whole episode where he finally escapes prison. I liked last week’s episode but I’ll take a pass this week where he’ll once again outsmart the incredibly incompetent FBI.
I’m going with 2.8 or 2.9.

It’s obvious that you’re also not a reader, or someone with a 4th grade reading comprehension level for that matter.
This poll is discussing The Following’s 7th episode. It premiered a long time ago.
