There is a lot more information in the daily cable ratings.
We always post whatever specific show data we received directly and see via press release or other trade publications. You can subscribe to our RSS feed and we have created a special category (Overnight Cable TV Show Ratings), which we usually post late in the afternoon on the east coast (and Friday night data isn't posted until Monday).

I actually wonder why Disney channel hasn’t created a block or something for Saturday morning,, Spongebob is not funny, it has lost it’s touch after season 5, but the reason why it get viewers is because parents know that from ten they can keep their children quiet because Spongebob is on easy,
Hey Disney fans, didn’t you guys say Spongebob is “finally” going down? LOL
@Nathan, we all know Spongebob only does well on Sat. mornings, due to literally no competition. It’s to be expected. What happened to Spongebob’s daily ratings though?
@jamie
No competition? Do elaborate. Do all the other networks go dark on Saturday mornings?
With regards to SpongeBob’s daily ratings: Monday’s ratings just came out and SpongeBob made the list several times, the highest rated episode scoring 3.309 million viewers.
Your move.
@Jamie
Its daily ratings have decreased due to Nickelodeon putting a block during the 5-7 PM hours.
There is PLENTY of competition on Saturday Mornings, we just can’t see that competition due to Spongebob dominating in the ratings.
Also, if you think Spongebob only does well with no competition, look at its Christmas special premiere numbers. Mind you, it aired on a Thursday night, the most competitive night on television, and still managed to get over 4 million viewers, followed by the repeat on Saturday morning getting NEARLY 5 million viewers.
@Jacob and @jamie What terrible excuses for such an amazing and legendary show like Spongebob dominating in the ratings! I guess there will always be haters but there’s no denying that Spongebob is the greatest show and still does great. The number nine episode in this list that scored 4,734,000 viewers was a new episode of spongebob-little yellow book. Pretty impressive for a show that has been on since 1999.
“There is PLENTY of competition on Saturday Mornings”
Care to elaborate? May I ask, What competition?
There is no competition Saturday mornings against Spongebob for targeted demos… CN premieres happen before SBSP hits its peak and Disney runs Disney Junior (although Sophia the First is doing some gnarly things).
The reason why? CN and Disney respect SBSP that much. And it’s not just kids that watch SBSP, that’s why the show does so well overall…
I Doubt either channel respects SponbeBob I think there just smart enough to not try to put anything important against it. Because against Spongebob’s You best bet Disney’s Gonna lose.
“CN and Disney respect SBSP that much..”
Congratulations! This post has been put in as #2 for my “Most Stupidest Things I Have Ever Read In My Life List” #1 was Disney green-lighting a show that is a rip off of iCarly & Victorious. Can anybody guess? It revolves around a show about a “singing prodigy” who has a special talANT.
I have to admit Spongebob is still very strong, but that does not change the fact that DC is a MUCH stronger network overall than Nick.
i am going to have to agree with you on that one disney rocks
Nathan,
If that’s #2, that’s pretty pathetic on your end. Good to know your conversations revolve around children’s stations.
@90′s
I am simply defending my favorite network when I was young. I have never liked and never will. Also, all my conversations do NOT only revolve around children’s networks, FYI.
You have posted comments about Nickelodeon & Disney. So have I.
wow spongebob did really good
Vikings is an AMAZING show! I love it!
