Mark2 would know what the hell he was talking about if he would watch theatre segment instead of the selective clips. I did not deny what Charles and Stossel said but what he left out AGAIN was the fact that they Bot agreed with OReilly.
Sorry but this requires me to go back to……………..

I have had enough loon crap for one day!!!!
    Good night

Bobbyv, Kirsten was about to have her own breakdown tonight.

  • Mark2

@Ratboy “I have had enough loon crap for one day!!!”

Yeah, that’s what happens when you get hit with facts…you run.

Yeah, I can understand why HLN is kicking a*s this week.

I actually can’t understand it…but then I think “reality shows” are anything but reality…so you can see where I’m coming from…lol

What Mark2 has failed to mention which should be of no surprise is that BOTH Stossel and Krauthammer AGREED with OReilly and the meds part was tongue in cheek on the part of Charles.
Funny how the important parts are left out!

Yeah, same thing with Rachel Madcow tonight…she showed Paul Ryan doing the filibuster, she claimed it was to force a 60 vote…and it was partisan, when it was about forcing Obama to state whether or not he would drone american citizens on american soil, and it’s bi-partisan as democrats are also involved…just not alot of democrats.

  • Bobbyv

I noticed that too. I can see her point, the Pres has mentioned somewhat specific things but BO is also right. She mentioned negotiating with Pharma, but that has a lot of variables and who can say what that would really save. Like the lowering of H/C, I want to see it before he gets credit for doing it.

  • Mark2

I just saw that 5 minute clip on Mediaite and Kirsten Powers slapped Bill O’Reilly around with facts. I actually felt bad for O’Reilly because he didn’t no where to go when Kirsten provided him with facts.

    Favorite line of the clip…

O’Reilly: This is where you an I will never agree…

    Kirsten: …cause I use facts?!

  • Mark2

You watch Rachel Maddow? You flaming Liberal…lol.

BO admitted he was a little rough on Alan, he apologized and did it with a lot of class and humor…the Irishman is pure gold…I guess that’s why he’s Numero UNO…

If I were Billy, I’d just throw Colmes away and have Bob Beckel do that part…while Bob is a big liberal, when liberals go overboard he will tell it like it is…that’s why I like him on The Five. He’s liberal, but he’s an honest liberal.

  • Bobbyv

I have a feeling no matter what they said to each other you would think Billo loses. Your prerogative.

  • Mark2

You already saw what happened when O’Reilly tried debating Jon Stewart…O’Reilly got clobbered. I actually felt bad for O’Reilly.

And he better hope that he never has to debate Rachel…she’ll destroy him just like Stewart did.

  • TZCA

I agree that they both had their good points, but I don’t see how saying that we will negotiate to lower the price of medication amounts to anything more than a commitment to negotiate. And what will be the result of this negotiation? What if Pharma doesn’t agree to reducing the price? If Pharma doesn’t agree to reduce the price of medication, where would the cut to Medicare?

@BobbyV “I have a feeling no matter what they said to each other you would think Billo loses. Your prerogative”

Not true, because I’ve seen O’Reilly win some debates against Beckel, Colmes, etc. In fact, he won that debate against the Harvard student last night.

But you can always tell when he’s losing the debate, it’s when he starts calling people names or loses his composure. The other tactic he’ll use when he feels that he’s losing the debate is that he’ll change the initial argument.

  • TZCA

My perception of the exchange isn’t the same as yours. Though I agree that both had good points, neither really stood out as victorious. I definately did not perceive Kirsten as slapping Bill-O around with facts…as I claim in the above post to Bobbyv

  • Bobbyv

I agree 100%, it is more of a “here are some theoretical specifics”. I do agree with her though that at least it is a specific avenue that he had proposed. Semantics on both sides that you know the hard line partisans will spin to their advantage.

  • Bobbyv

    Fair enough, I stand corrected

The Affordable Care Act is another can of worms. It shouldn’t surprise anyone here who knows my conservative leanings that I do not like this plan, but mostly because of the personal mandate. Welp, my premiums have gone up 12% since last year, and I’m a healthy single guy who hasn’t seen a doctor in over 3 years until today for antibiotics. The hospital that used to have an urgent care doesn’t have an urgent care any longer. They directed me to a clinic 15 miles away. So, I go to the clinic 15 miles away and wait 2 hours to go sniffle up my snot in front of the doc.

  • Bobbyv

In fairness I am not going to criticize someone if they genuinely are trying to help with H/C costs. It is no crime to be wrong, but the deception and promises on the cost are what bother me, and these are echoed here. My cost went up a bit as they have been over the past few years but right now I have personally not seen any impact yet.
