    Bobbyv,

I’m glad you haven’t seen any impact yet, and hopefully for you and yours, it works out.

  • Mark2

    @TZCA and Bobby

O’Reilly used the tactic of changing his initial request from Colmes just like Kirsten pointed out….’moving the goal posts’.

Last night O’Reilly asked Colmes ‘what specific program’ Obama was willing to cut, he never asked for ages, amounts, etc, he simply asked ‘what specific program’ Obama willing to cut and even stated that Obama had NOT proposed to make any cuts. Colmes answered his question with a ‘specific program’…Medicare. In fact, Healthcare is the general program as is Defense, Welfare, etc. Now what specific program under Healthcare is Obama willing to cut is Medicare…which is actually a subprogram. So Colmes did answer that question several times.

Then today, when Kirsten repeated that and actually provided him with evidence of Obama’s proposal, he quickly demanded more information…ages, amounts, etc. Before you knew it, he was demanding to know the names of the companies Obama was working with.

He went from wanting to know ONE program that Obama was willing to cut to wanting to know which drug companies Obama was working with. I mean come on…seriously?!

In summary, O’Reilly stated yesterday that Obama had not put for any proposals to cut spending…he was proven wrong today. He also asked for one program that Obama was willing to cut…both Colmes and Kirsten repeatedly gave him one…Medicare. Now he wants to know the drug companies. Just face it he lost the debate and looked bad doing so.

So, you want to be a political Spin Doctor: Observe the absolute WRONG WAY of doing things:

    >>> Fox Fake News continues to corner the market on old viewers –over 65%. Remember: Obama–53 million votes; Billo–2-3 million right wingers…..

To the intelligent posters, I ask, how could you put ANY stock into the BS the above poster above is slinging?

    1. Is there DOCUMENTED PROOF that Fox News’s audience is 65% old viewers? Is that a blanket misstatement without facts to back that up on just TODAY”s numbers?

    2. How can one take someone seriously who CONSISTENTLY compares Obama’s Presidential votes to the ratings of a cable news company’s???

And, others who CONSISTENTLY compare the ratings of Cable News Networks, on 24/7, with the skimpy 30-minute nightly newscasts on CBS, NBC & ABC? Who compare programs scoring in the 18-49 demo group of “entertainment” shows, vs. the cable news programs who are judged in the 25-54 demo, NOT 18-49?

Night after night, the same bu11$h-t is repeated over and over after constantly being told that he is wrong, wrong, wrong. He/she or they must think the occasional posters here are dumber that d-gpoop to believe the detritis that is being spread all over the website has any creedence?

Does ANYONE take usa888 or Mark2 seriously here?

    TZ,

Same to you, hope things improve. I should tell you that I work in Pharma so I would hope my H/C is good. We’ll see if it stays that way

Perhaps I shouldn’t answer since you directed your question to intelligent posters only, but I will answer anyway: I PUT ABSOLUTELY NO STOCK IN ANYTHING THE AFOREMENTIONED POSTER POSTS.

New Fox News Fan. I want to thank by the numbers for balanced numbers no matter what network. And yes fox tells the truth. They give you both sides of the story you may or may not like how they say it but it’s the truth. I am sick and tired of listen to people defend a man who has no record of accomplishing anything. I say anything because you can’t find out what he did as a community organizer, where are the droves of people saying he help them keep the heat on or water on. You can’t see his grades what kind of a student he was or what his college thesis was about everything you wanted to know about Pres. Bush(and there was so much the media piled on and put out there,Remember Cindy Sheenan)can’t be said about this man. You can tell he’s never had to work hard in his life because we have had a front row seat for this entertainer-in-chief for over 5 years. The man is and was always in over his head.

  • Ralph Hahn

    @Stan T. : >>> I actually can’t understand it…but then I think “reality shows” are anything but reality…so you can see where I’m coming from…lol <<<

True, a murder trial is as about as "real" as a reality show can get? But, the HLN audience is always up for murder trials. They scored very high last year with the Casey Anthony trial. The program breakdown above should show the substitute show title being cast, NOT the name of the show that normally occupies that time slot. They Do it when CNBC or MSNBC or FOX puts a title on a show. Is typing HLN: Jones Murder Trial instead of Nancy Grace be so hard?

  • TZCA

    Mark2,

I understand your point about moving the goal post, I don’t like the Bill O’Reilly did that. BUT, I understand why he did that. Bill-O asks for a specific program Obama wants to cut, and Kirsten says that Obama wants to make cuts in Medicare because Obama says (paraphrase) we will negotiate to cut the costs of medication. As I’ve stated, to me this nothing more than a commitment to negotiate not a commitment to cut. If Bill-O is thinking like I am thinking, then this is where Bill-O loses it, and unfortunately his line of questioning goes astray.

  • Ralph Hahn

    @ Leslie: Bravo! Welcome here.

  • Ralph Hahn

@TZCA: Of course you’re an intelligent poster! LOL! However, I will respectfully disagree with you on your last post. While Colmes kept coming back with cuts in medicaid and mnedicare, Bill O wanted specific information. Cut where in Medicaid? Younger people, older people, extending the number of years in order to collect Social Security. I watched the program three times last night. I agree that Bill did go over the top, he apologized and told a later guest that he should not have called Colmes a liar. But, unlike when Colmes was constantly being challenged by Hannity when they worked together, O’Reilly has been very lax in letting Alan state his facts without challenging him on it. But, overall, it makes for interesting television.

  • TZCA

    Ralph Hahn

Thanks for the kudos. The Bill-O / Colmes debate drove me nuts, and it wasn’t Bill-O’s response that drove me nuts .

My last comment was in regards to tonight’s debate between Bill-O and Kirsten Powers.

  • TZCA

In tonight’s debate, it seemed Bill-O was moving the goal post arbitrarily. At least to me.

  • TZCA

BUT, I understand why he was moving the goal post, and I think it was a result of Bill-O getting frustrated that both Colmes and Powers were trying to say that a commitment to negotiate is the same as a commitment to cut, and Bill-O was trying to say, no it’s not, and it resulted in a arbitrary movement of the goal post (well, to me, it was more obvious with Powers).

  • TZCA

I find Kirsten very attractive. Why, Oh Lord, does she need to be a liberal?

  • usa8888

THis just in: billo makes a fool of himself berating Alan Colmes on Fox Fake News. Billo apoligized–makes you wonder if he treated his wife that way before the divorce —

  • usa8888

Billo has anger management problems…wonder what happened with his intern at Fox whom he is said to have molested…an out of court settlement ensued…

  • usa8888

Ralphie–yes, 53 million voters for Obama take what Mark and I say for granted because it’s the truth……right wingers are incapable of understanding most things……they do, however, do well with racism, anti-government thinking, religious fanaticism, and backward thinking…..

  • AppleStinx

TZCA wrote: “I find Kirsten very attractive. Why, Oh Lord, does she need to be a liberal?”

She is ok, someone who doesn’t always regurgitate the liberal talking points of the day. I think that at least she understands the different between deficit and debt, something Jon Stewart was clueless about when he debated O’Reilly.

  • Cathy

I didn’t watch O’Reilly today or yesterday. But I want to slap the sh*t out of Colmes. I have heard the man say Obama agrees to cut Medicare time and time again. When asked for details, he always come up with B.S. He always gives out pie in the sky ideas and never details.
How are they going to cut drug spending?

If Obama would just let the meetings between him, the house and senate leaders be televised Bill and Colmes wouldn’t have to debate if Obama did or didn’t after cuts. But Obama doesn’t want the TVs.

  • Cathy

Kirsten Powers has been better in the last couple of days. She isn’t supporting what Obama is doing right now.
