The Big Bang Theory squares off against American Idol again tonight. Its most recent new episode scored a 5.6 adults 18-49 rating. Will it do even better this week? Make your predictions.

  • CBSviewer

    5.6 even with last original.

  • Mike

    5.9, 19 mil overall.

  • Manuel0672

    Between 5.6 and 5.7

  • Jeff (Canada)

I’ll say 5.7, tied with Walking Dead for the top spot of the week.

  • OddGuy

    5.2-5.3. Down but still strong.

  • John A

I didnt know CBS was all new Thursday. I say 5.2 for TBBT.

  • William Haney

With basketball around the corner and iffy weather out east, this could be a huge night.

  • THE OLD MAN

I’m thinking it will maintain 5.6 but think it may possibly go higher

  • Flame

I’m taking the conservative guess as usual – 5.6

  • mart

can’t wait for the new poi tonight.

  • David Howell

I was going to lowball this guess but then I looked up the weather after William pointed it out and frankly it’s just indefensible to lowball this guess now. Total viewing in the 8pm hour will be big, and Idol is collapsing at an almost unbelievable rate.

    6.1.

  • Funeral Dinner

Whitney did fine last season against Idol and that shows ratings are down this year, so I think even if TBBT dips it won’t be due to Idol.

  • kbmv

It won’t beat the Walking Dead. I’ll say 5.5.

  • Joseph

May be the week’s top-rated broadcast show.

  • gerry

5.7-5.8, its competition tonight is minimal

  • AJ

    Low: 5.4, 15.5-17 million, High: 6, 18-20 million.

  • rob60990

CBS is new tonight? They’ve been in majority reruns the past few days. I’ll say 5.4 for TBBT.

  • Baaa!

It will be flat or more likely a small drop 5.5-5.4 It will not be immune to the drops already seen this week and its 8pm slot actually hurts it now and even more so with the coming DST.

  • zth

The fact that ABC, CW and partially NBC are all in repeats + the bad weather + the huge decline of American Idol will lead to new series high for TBBT and new season high for TAHM. I’m pretty sure that TBBT will soon double AI’s demo.
    The Big Bang Theory 6.3
Two and A Half Men 4.3
    American Idol 3.4

  • Melissa

Decreased competition tonight, so I’m expecting CBS to be up across the board.

The Big Bang Theory: 6.2 (No original The Vampire Diaries + fading American Idol)
Two and a Half Men: 4.2 (Same scenario as its lead-in)
Person of Interest: 3.3 (No original Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, or Beauty and the Beast
Elementary: 2.4 (No original Scandal, but has to face half of Glee)
