    @Luke

    No, it’s not. It was the worst episode to date. It’ll go down next week for sure, count on it. It’s such a sad thing to see a quality show go down in flames. I think and desperately hope this is the last season, so as to put the show out of it’s goddamn misery

    Once again The Walking Dead beats Big Bang Theory. TWD is always great but TBBT has been up and down all year. A lot of mediocre episodes. It’s not the same quality a show it use to be. They have dumbed it down. But they have had their highest ratings this season. Which makes no sense.

  • POI

    Glee was up against 1600 Penn instead of POI and Grey’s, no wonder it went up haha.

    @ kbmv,

    Idol is down big, NBC comedies are falling. Makes perfect sense if you look at their competitors.

    What makes Community’s ratings this week even more commendable is they did it on an NBC line-up of nothing but repeats and the very lowly-rated 1600 Penn.

    Community is a typical cult hit–it’s not mainstream, it attracts a smaller but very passionate audience who are more off-the-beaten track. As other cult hits like Supernatural have proven, having such a loyal and vocal audience can really pay off in the long run.

    I think having a show that is A Creative Adventure in Comedic Storytelling rather than just another cookie-cutter sitcom is good PR for NBC, in the same way the low-rated but well-respected Good Wife is good PR for CBS. Even if you don’t watch it, you like the network better for carrying it. I had heard A LOT of good things about Community’s originality before I finally watched it on Netflix.

    So far I’m loving season 4.

    Woot. My predictions for Big Bang Theory and Glee yesterday were spot on for once.

    @kbmv

    You do realize that The Big Bang Theory promotes The Walking Dead, right? All the writers are fans of the show, so why are you comparing them? They actually support each other….

  • panda

    Oh No! Why GA repeat only got 1.1? same as the Office repeat?

  • Baby Got Max

    All you Community haters can suck it. Can I say that on here? Who cares. Community was, is, and always will be an amazing show. If you don’t know that by now, then you must have Changnesia.

  • Keith

    LOL @ people making fun of the quality of Grey’s based off of cast members leaving the show. I don’t recall one cast member leaving the show due to the writing being an issue. Cast members usually leave in order to pursue other venues (Katherine), are let go due to budget cuts or fired due to controversies.

    You POI fans really think the same cast is going to be in place during season 9? I doubt it will even make it to season 9. And I wouldn’t be bragging about the horrible quality of Grey’s. If that is true and it usually beats POI, then what does that say about your stupid show?

  • Melissa

    @panda

    Oh No! Why GA repeat only got 1.1? same as the Office repeat?

    Because Grey’s Anatomy repeats badly, probably because it’s serialized (procedurals and comedies typically repeat better than serialized dramas).

    Scandal also adjusted up a tenth

    I did not expect Community to go up at all. This is great news for renewal talks. With it being so close to syndication, chances are looking good that there will be another season. It’s also one of the most popular shows on Hulu, so that is an added boost to its chances.

  • Melissa

    @maximillian

    Scandal also adjusted up a tenth

    No it didn’t. Scandal had a 1.0 in the preliminaries and has a 1.0 in the finals.

  • Lukes

    Glee was going against a dead show and replicas, I think the bounce up is not really that significant. It will get renewed, anyway.

    @readmean
    With it being so close to syndication

    Community already has a syndication deal.

    Well, I am dissapointed after seeing the ratings.
    POI had a wonderful mordern and true-to-the show stylization of Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap, all the way to the killer’s identity, did anyone notice that?
    I think it’s highy stylish for a crime procedural, so other than a little too much moralism from Harold (I like it, but it was a little too much speaking frankly, and not the first time during S2), it was pure enjoyment. Even though I guessed the culpit somewhere in the first part of the episode. :)
    So I do think that episode deserved better.
    Well, I’ll hope the ratings get better later on, one can always hope.

    I really like POI, I’m even a part of the sub team translating the show :)

  • Alan

    I guess Glee is up only because of American Idol.

  • Richard Steven Hack

    Who cares about the ratings? Who is that hot brunette on the left side of the pic? :-) She makes Kaley look like Ernest Borgnine! :-)

  • Ultima

    @Alan
    I guess Glee is up only because of American Idol.

    That doesn’t even make sense.
