TV Ratings Friday: 'Grimm' Solid, 'Golden Boy' Sinks,'Fashion Star' Debuts Low, ' Nikita' Up, as 'Shark Tank' Wins Night

ABC was number one in adults 18-49 while CBS was on top with total viewers.

On ABC, Last Man  Standing earned a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating even with last week. Malibu Country garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7 percent from last week’s 1.4. Shark Tanks scored a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating up 5 percent from last week’s 1.9.   20/20 notched a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating up 14 percent from last week’s 1.4.

On CBS, Undercover Boss scored a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating down 7 percent from a 1.5 on February 15.  Golden Boy earned a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating down 60 percent from a 1.6 on Tuesday and down 40 percent from a 1.4 for the CSI:NY finale.  .Blue Bloods garnered a 1.4 among adults 18-49, even with its performance on February 15.

On NBC, the season premiere of Fashion Star earned a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating down 50 percent from a 1.6 for its first season premiere on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.  Grimm scored a  1.5 adults 18-49 rating down 6 percent from a 1.6 for its fall finale on November 16 but up 7 percent from a 1.4 for last year’s mid-season return. Your predictions were pretty accurate.   Rock Center garnered a 0.9 among adults 18-49 down 10 percent from last week’s 1.0.

On Fox, Kitchen Nightmares' 1.3 adults rating was the same as last week, and Touch dropped a tenth vs. last week to a series low matching 0.7 rating.

On the CW, Nikita earned a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating up 33 percent from last week’s 0.3. In its new time period,  Cult scored a 0.2 among adults 18-49 down 33 percent from a 0.3 for its last original episode on Tuesday, February 26.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    The CW should air Cult in the summer and put more reruns on Friday to maximize exposure of BATB and Arrow.

    Good for Grimm, I was expecting 1.3 or lower. Definitely a strong episode I hope it goes up in the finals to match its fall finale.

    Nikita is doing ok, if it can continue to keep 0.4s it will be renewed. Bad news for Cult, and also for Beauty and especially Carrie, as it tied Nikita on a weekday.

    Not going to pretend it’s the greatest show in the world, but there are certainly much worse offerings out there that still manage ok ratings…

    Nikita full fourth final season fridays

    Last Man Standing will definitely be renewed with those numbers as well as Grimm for third seasons.

    Good thing Golden Boy is staying on Tuesdays, if that friday airing is any indication of how it would do on fridays or how Vegas would perform, then they’re both doomed.

    LMS is crazy consistent at 1.5, if it can get 1.5 again with DST disadvantage then ABC should think no further and renew it. Such a shame it’s over in 2 weeks. I love Happy Endings but I wish LMS got additional episode order instead

    Grimm’s doing amazing, especially for NBC and especially on Friday (and after such a long hiatus). 3rd season , here we come.
    Nikita up and EP of the show thinking of ending it on a cliffhanger = 4th season certain.
    Cult is pulling pretty much the same numbers it did on Tuesday, it’s not getting renewed, but since most episodes have been filmed, I don’t see the CW yanking it off the schedule.

    Happy Nikita is up! It was an amazing episode and I hope this trend continues. Nikita has been great for the past 3 weeks. Now that it will air a few more episodes uninterrupted I hope people start to come back to the show

    In the next few weeks if Nikita can gain a couple more tenths and Fashion Star loses some Nikita and FS could tie. I hope Nikita beats it at least once

    Not bad for grimm i had a bad feeling it would sink to new lows but a 1.5 is very respectable

    Go Grimm. Nikita fell to a 0.3 at half hour so it probably will be adjusted down.

    Why is everyone being ridiculous saying, “Terrible for Cult! When it will get pulled?” etc. It dropped a tenth in its unadvertised move to Friday. And remember when Nikita pulled 0.2s earlier this season? Relax yourselves.

    Why on earth NBC is even airing Fashion Star in the first place… Don’t get me wrong, I love the show but it’s a niche reality series suited for cable television– and shipping it to Friday night’s where it has even less of an audience is just downright stupid. By this point they’re be better swapping it with Deception. At least then Fashion Star has a reality lead in, and Grimm has a at least remotely similar in tone series ahead of it.

    Grimm has no place to go but down to 1.0 or less as the season progresses.

    Grimm did great!!!! Given that it came back from a practically 3 month hiatus, on Friday, and it’s lead in was a .8…So Happy!! And NBC really should pair up Hannibal with Grimm. Those two are so compatible with each other. Why on Earth would NBC think Fashion Star and Rock Center would go well with Grimm??? Because Hannibal will probably bomb because it’s NBC thursday at 10…so NBC at least give it a fighting chance.
