MANCHESTER UNITED-Chelsea SETS FA CUP RECORD ON FOX SOCCER
Network Adds Two Top-Five Most-Watched List in Five Day Span
Los Angeles – FOX Soccer’s live telecast of Manchester United’s 2-2 tie with Chelsea in the FA Cup Round 6 on Sunday afternoon (3/10), called by Gus Johnson and Ian Wright, is the network’s most-watched FA Cup match ever, according to Nielsen Media Research. That day, 460,000 viewers saw The Red Devils play The Blues to a draw on its legendary home pitch, Old Trafford. In addition to being an FA Cup record, the match is the fifth most-watched contest of any kind in FOX Soccer history. That comes on the heels of last Tuesday’s (3/5) Manchester United Real Madrid UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match which is now the network’s most-watched Champions League match and third-most-watched contest of any kind.
