I love this show. It’s my “younger days” dream come to life. What the hell happened??? Last year, I couldn’t wait to see it. This year, they toss in Jennifer Hudson, who just disappeared without so much of a “see ya”. Then they added “Jimmy”. Why? And no offense, but the actor playing him just isn’t right. He looks like Vanilla Ice trying to play the “bad boy”. And really, Karen quits a BROADWAY MUSICAL to follow him???? Couldn’t she just have slept with Derrick? Gone are the smart story lines – the affair, the leading lady mayhem, the hot bartender having “his way” with the show’s producer, the fantastic music. Now I am sooooo bored! Jimmy Shimmy! He just doesn’t have it. He’s like watching a bad audition for a high school play. Every week. Every hour he’s on “Smash”.

They had it. They had what it took and then they lost faith in it. Why? Who knows. Executives, money, hell it could have been a bad review from the producer’s daughter. There are way too many arteries stemming off the original idea. It’s bleeding the show dry. I think that Leo and Frank, Jennifer and Marcus, Uma and Ellis, Jerry and everyone else who just “disappeared” are partying their buns off on some other island than Manhattan.

    NOOOO i love Smash

Love, love, love Smash! Can’t believe they’re canceling it. People would rather watch awful reality shows. Such a waste of a really good show! Frustrating!

I love Smash! It’s a great show and love the whole theatrical plots they have. Why is it that if you like a show, then it gets cancelled? I only watch two or three reality shows. Please try to keep it on the air!

Why is it that good shows like SMASH get canceled?!?!? So sick and tired of NBC canceling good shows. I absolutely LOVE the music for the story line HIT LIST and would actually go see it on broadway! It’s new, young, and fresh!!! Stupid mistake NBC for canceling. I hope another network will pick up the show and continue it.

How did I miss this? Oh, well. I was shocked by how bad Smash premiered, but I’m not shocked by this.

    Why did you ruin smash

  • pat

it’s beyond me why nbc did not leave smash on Monday nights after voice where it was doing well. admittedly this years writing and songs is not as good as the first season, but the acting is good and performances by McPhee, Hudson, etc EXCELLENT!!!
