CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show. FACE THE NATION placed first in adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in News – as well as viewers and households on Sunday, March 10. The CBS broadcast posted 0.8/04 in adults 25-54 with 3.17m viewers and 2.2/06 in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 56% of the CBS affiliates.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +9% in viewers (3.26m from 3.00m), +14% in households (2.4/06 from 2.1/06) and even in adults 25-54 (0.8/03) compared to last year. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54 (0.8/03, tied with NBC), viewers (3.26m) and households (2.4/06) among the Sunday morning public affairs programs.
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), Sen.Portman (R-OH) and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD). Schieffer also hosted a political panel with Peggy Noonan of The Wall Street Journal and CBS News Political Director John Dickerson and a roundtable on the papacy with Noonan, Sally Quinn of The Washington Post, Carl Bernstein of Vanity Fair and Greg Tobin, author of The Good Pope.
